'This would probably be the only property that I would not do a repeat visit going back to Japan. The property itself is not the most convenient to get to, even being near'ish Kyoto Station. It's about a 10 minute walk in any direction to get to any of the trains. That said, that wasn't the worst part. The unit itself was interesting. The tatami floors though were scuffed and dirty. 'The house is conveniently located, close to the JR station and there are a bunch of restaurants within walking distance. There is also a 100-year-old stationery store close by, which we really enjoyed. Everything was clean and well-maintained, and it was very neat to be able to show our kids a more traditional, old-style Japanese house. We were disappointed that there was no tatami, however, as it appears there has been a recent renovation, and more disappointed that the rules asked guests not...

Mr. Yoneda reached out to me several days in advance of our arrival with check-in information along with photos to show clear directions from the train station to the house. He greeted us when we showed up, explained all that we needed to know about the house and ensured that all of our questions were answered.
