Great stay in Nice
The property is in a great location in Nice - very easy to get around! Stanislas was very communicative from the moment the booking went through, to the day before our arrival and day before departure, informing us of the check-in and check out process, how to contact him should there be any issues during our stay. We had a great trip and the flat was very comfortable. Very happy travellers!

Séjour quartier marché aux fleurs
Appartement très bien situé, calme, chaleureux. Bonne literie. Tout est à proximité, très joli quartier. Il faut être en forme pour monter les 5 étages sans ascenseur. Prévoir de laisser la plupart des vêtements dans les valises, peu de rangements. Très joli séjour grâce à ce petit cocon!

Right Space Right Place
The cozy flat is located right in the center of it all. A half block from the famous promenade/sea and 1/2 block from Old Town's wonderful farmers market and restaurant row. Oh and directly across from the Opera House. We couldn't have been in a better location when it came to the Men's IRONMAN World Championships. If you don't mind stairs (117 each way) you'll be right in the heart of everything. I did struggle to find the door to the stairwell. Had I had data turned on on my phone (American that didn't want to pay to use data overseas) it would have been a breeze. After finding it, all instructions were simple to follow. Friendly reminder - pack light so bringing your luggage up isn't so hard then soak it all in. You are in a marvelous place staying in a comfortable space.

The location here is absolutely perfect!! We loved the proximity to the beach and being right in old town Nice. The apartment is 117 stairs up - which was great for us but perhaps hard for some. The interior is tight and a but drab, with linens that should be replaced. The kitchen and bathroom are small but well appointed.

We recently stayed at this property for five nights and would definitely consider it again, but some simple changes would make it significantly better. First of all, it's an older property and that is always going to create a few quirks - the stairs will be a challenge for some and the layout is a little quirky, but that was expected going in, and would not be unusual for a building like this, so that was all fine. On the ++ side, the location is outstanding - so close to the promenade and situated in the old city with everything so close .... it couldn't be better. Also, the air conditioning is a game changer - on the top floor in the summer would be very unpleasant, so having the AC available was wonderful. Our only recommended changes are around some small items, but ones that would be easy to make and convert my rating from 'quite good' to outstanding. (1) it could be cleaner - it wasn't a problem, but it was far from spotless; (2) better quality towels and more of them - the towels are thread bare and there are barely enough, which is tough when you're staying for five days like we were, and (3) better quality sheets and bedding - they were poor quality, had a couple stains on them, and should be better. With those small changes, the apartment would be really good and definitely change my review from it being a good option to consider, to somewhere that I would recommend to anyone.

A beautiful apartment in Old Town Nice
We loved staying at this property! The location was wonderful, steps from the beach and right in Old Town Nice which made walking to all the sights easy. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and cozy, with a beautiful view of the city! Advice to future visitors though is to ensure you are comfortable and able to walk and carry your bags up the 117 stairs up to the apartment. There is no elevator. The view is worth it though!

Lots and lots and lots of stairs, but great location
The apartment is located on the 5th floor (that’s the 6th floor for fellow Americans). We’re young and in decent shape so it wasn’t the end of the world, but it was pretty frustrating that it wasn’t mentioned anywhere in the VRBO listing; after looking back I saw it mentioned in a couple of reviews, but nowhere in the listing description. The hike up was enough that we were getting ready for our day just to go out and grab coffee. That aside, it’s a charming little apartment in an excellent area. It is pretty lively so expect some bar noise and music that go late (we kept the windows open, it didn’t bother us too much). We didn’t meet Stanislas but he was helpful and quick to respond to any messages.

Excellent apartment next to the ocean!
We had an amazing stay at this apartment! The location was perfect as it is next to the promenade along the ocean, as well as steps away from cafes and restaurants. The apartment was is in excellent condition and was very clean. The amenities were perfect for a short trip but would also accommodate a longer stay. We would 100% recommend this listing for your trip to Nice and will hopefully return ourselves.

Très beau séjour. Petit appartement situé au centre de la vieille ville. Malgré sa petite taille cet appartement est très très bien équipé. Le proprio est très rapide pour répondre. Le seul petit bémol c'est que c'est au 5e étage (118 marches au total) donc il faut être en forme ;-). Mais si nous revenons à Nice c'est avec plaisir qu'on retournerait chez Stanislas.

Appartement très bien situé central et calme. Les escaliers sont assez fatiguants pour des retraités 117 hautes marches. Mais çà se fait. Il manque des éclairages corrects auprès ou au dessus des lits.Le coin cuisine est bien équipé mais pour le séchage du linge il faudrait un séchoir sur pied et qqs pinces à linge. La propriété est très bien placé, au cœur du centre ville ce qui permet d’accéder à tous lieux touristiques. De plus nous disposons de tous les matériaux de base sans plus. L’appartement est situé au 5eme étage sans ascenseur ce qui est parfois embêtant si on rentre chargé. Pour une famille de 4 adultes des lits séparés aurait été plus agréable.

The apartment is small but it has everything you want. Location is just perfect , 50 m to the sea and all restaurangs you need outsider the door in beatyful old town. The only downside is that there are a lot of stairs and no elevator, but some small exercice on your holiday wont hurt you :-)

Perfect spot for sightseeing Vieux-Nice
Stanislas Gevrey's 'knusse' (=Dutch; translates roughly as 'cosy') apartment is a perfect starting point for visiting the beach, the flower market, and all the other highlights of the old city. Situated on the top floor looking North, it provides a magnificent view over the red-tiled roofs and bell-towers of Vieux-Nice, but not of the sea. The place offers sufficient comfort for two, though four might find it a bit cramped. The (in)famous 117 steps of the stairs proved for us septuagenarians not too much of a problem. All in all, a very pleasant place thanks to its super location and, of course, to its host!

Sehr schöne Wohnung in genialer Lage
Der Vermieter ist sehr sympathisch. Die Wohnung ist mit allem ausgestattet. Sie ist sehr schön mit vielen Antiquitäten eingerichtet. Bad und Küche sind modern und die Betten gemütlich. Die Wohnung liegt direkt neben der Oper in er Altstadt und ist nur ein paar Meter vom Meer und vom Blumenmarkt entfernt. Restaurants gibt es hunderte in nächster Nähe zur Auswahl. WLAN funktioniert perfekt. Die vielen Stufen zur Wohnung haben wir sportlich genommen. Von der Ausstattung und der Einrichtung her ist die Wohnung ganz bestimmt etwas Besonderes. Die Lage könnte nicht besser sein!

We enjoyed our stay at the apartment. Very close to the beach, restaurants and attractions. The stairs to the apartment did play a factor in what we did. We tended to have everything ready for the day and not come back until the evening to avoid the trek. It was also extremely hot while we were there and the AC unit (located in the one room) was not adequate to cool the second room. We did appreciate the washing machine. There is a wonderful boulangerie just down the street and the market around the corner.
