Great Looking Studio apartment in NYC Brownstone

This unit is located in an original brownstone with a candlelight statue at the entrance. Enjoy an original Harlem brownstone experience at this centrally-located place. Located steps from all restaurants, shops, and transportation. This is a must experience on your bucket

Upon entering the building you'll see the original details of an 1900's brownstone with the hi ceilings, gold statue and pocket doors. The Studio is located directly to the rear at apartment #2. The number is affixed to the door.
Guest access
The entire apartment is private giving you sole access to the unit.
Other things to note:
The apartment has a heating/air-condition unit with the unit which works with wifi, or the remote control on the wall next to the Double size bed. Additional pillows are inside the closet on the shelf. Additional sheets and blankets are located at the bottom dresser draws if needed.

The apartment was exactly as portrayed. Very neat and clean. The manager was very responsive to requests and dealt with them immediately. However, it is NOT in the area advertised. It is a significant walk away and that was very disappointing.

I really enjoyed my few days here. The apartment is very well equipped with good shower and comfortable bed. It was very quiet and has lots of stores nearby. The nearby subway station is also great and gives excellent access to the rest of New York City. The host was helpful and communicative. If like me you are flying into JFK you can save yourself money by catching the Airtrain to Howard Beach and then the A subway train all the way to the nearest subway - it’s a 10 minute walk from there to the apartment and it’s all level. There are steps up to the front door of the building.

Property is in a good location and was beautiful and clean! At a great price too :) Towels, silverware, plates, and a full kitchen provided was such a plus! And the host communicated very promptly.

This was overall a decent stay, first impressions were we very obviously looking like tourists in this part of town- but everyone was pretty friendly and didn’t make us feel unwelcome. As for first impressions of the studio itself, it was cute as we walked in, but we had a very hard time regulating the temperature here. There was a small space heater and a heater above the bed that despite our efforts didn’t work. Additionally, the bathroom had half a roll of toilet paper left, a quarter of a bottle of soap left, and no body wash in the container in the shower. I was hoping since we paid such high fees for cleaning / maintenance that this place would’ve had back ups but it’s not a huge deal. TV had streaming which was a plus! And the decor wasn’t bad. But unfortunately no comforter on the bed and 3 pillows that I would consider not more comfortable than sleeping on a towel folded over itself. PLEASE, do upgrade the bedding because that was the biggest deterrent of this place. All in all, this was not a bad stay at all for 4 nights, however, there are improvements to be made, and they are not costly such as replacing the soaps, tp, and pillows perhaps.

We had a wonderful November week in NYC thanks also to this characteristic little brownstone apartment, located near the strategic 125th subway stop, so it was possible to get back and forth several times in a day. Cozy and comfortable for 2 people, overlooking the inner courtyard, very quiet and with small kitchen where you can prepare your breakfast and some hot food. Be sure to visit the neighborhood, with some nice walks to the North and West!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this exceptional VRBO property in the heart of Harlem, and it truly exceeded all expectations! I was born and raised in Harlem and the place felt like home, I would definitely stay here again on future trips.The charm of the original 1900s brownstone is breathtaking, with its high ceilings, intricate pocket doors, and a stunning gold statue that greets you upon entry, setting the tone for a unique and memorable experience. The location is unbeatable—just steps away from an array of fantastic restaurants, shops, and convenient transportation options, making it the perfect base to explore the vibrant Harlem neighborhood.The room itself was comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, blending historic elegance with modern amenities. The check-in process was simple and clear and there was ample on the street parking in the same block.Its proximity to The Edge, a delightful Jamaican/British black woman-owned restaurant just a five-minute walk away, was an added bonus.Whether you’re a history enthusiast, a foodie, or simply looking for a centrally-located gem, this property is a must-visit. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Harlem experience!

The studio is comfortable and well equipped, very conveniently located. Easy access to the subway and buses in a quiet and pleasant neighbourhood. Close to a variety of stores. Angela is a very reactive and efficient host. We certainly do recommend this property!

This was an amazing spot! So close to the bus stop that takes you to LGA! And so close to a lot of restaurants and shops! Very spacious and very well decorated. Next time I am in New York my husband and I would want to stay here again!

Nice little studio in a great location. The bed was fairly comfortable; the starter kit of coffee pods, coffee are, and sugar was really nice. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. Angela is a great host. We really enjoyed our stay in NYC.

This was a great little brownstone apartment. The apartment itself was a perfect size for 1 or 2 people. The bathroom was small, but what else can you expect in NYC! Very close to 2 subway stations which was very convenient. Area of Harlem was nice/relatively safe - travelling alone I didn’t feel uncomfortable! Only thing I would suggest would be to provide the lock box code prior to arrival. I wasn’t sure of any check out instructions but would have been happy to help out in that sense if the owner ever requested it. I would definitely go back and re-rent!

The property itself is very nice and comfortable, I wouldn't have minded staying longer than 2 days. Though there was a hiccup with the checkin process, I would book another stay here.
