'You won’t get claustrophobia here - open, rustic decor, feels a bit like a really big, cool man cave. Two games could use some attention — small version of foosball needs repaired or replaced; the bumper pool table needs nuts to hold down the bumpers; the jute box needs repairing as well. The hiking was outta this world! Reminds us so much of many spots in Zion National Park in Utah. Ohio’s best kept secret!'

'The owners were very kind to allow us a 1 night stay and answered questions quickly. It was just the right size for my husband, dog & I but would have been a tight squeeze with any more people. Comfy bed & was nice to have little treats waiting for us. Just located in a backyard setting, but close to Hocking Hills & restaurants. Perfect if you just need a place to stay while hiking.'

'Check in was a breeze, we had an issue with parking but it was taken care of with in minutes. The loft offered a lot of open area for my son to crawl around. Nothing was terribly far, we were able to walk to several restaurants. Only complaint was the traffic at night was loud.'

'Nice and cozy place to stay. The staff was very nice professional and attentive. My room wasn’t very big but it was very clean with a mini frig and microwave. I have to brag about the breakfast because I’ve been to several hotels that offer breakfast…everything was fresh and delicious. My husband and I walked around sat and ate frozen yogurt the neighborhood was great!'

'We had such a unique experience at our rustic cabin. We were greeted by a horse, dogs, chickens, and more! Michelle, the owner went out of her way to make sure that all of our needs were met. 'My wife and I took a weekend hiking getaway from Dayton just before Halloween. The Primrose House is VERY clean, food is excellent! Big value here, located close to dozens of great trails (check out Burr Oak!). Nelsonville is very friendly and easy to navigate...good food in town too!'

'It was ok for what we wanted. The heat is an issue. It was definitely very cold in the back room. The "kitchen" is tiny, but comparable to a hotel kitchenette. The property is nice and the people are nice.'

'Stayed for the weekend during Nelsonville Music Festival. Cozy set-up. Fire pit, hot tub, hammock posts all made for a relaxing stay. Just make sure that when you Google or Waze directions, you search for "Hidden Gem Cabins"... If you only enter the address, Google may take you 1/2 mile or so down the road. Property manager helped get us back on track. If you're going to be in and out, I recommend downloading an offline map of the area since service can be spotty (service at the cabin was good).'
