  • The Whip O Will est situé dans une crique de sable sur Sabbathday Lake, dans le New Gloucester, Maine, la maison des voisins Sabbathday Lac Shakers.

    Cette maison en front de mer sablonneuse offre le meilleur des deux mondes: une oasis de paix et de calme qui se trouve à une distance frappante de Portland, de Freeport, des Montagnes Blanches et de la côte du Maine. Écoutez les huards tous les matins et tous les soirs tout en bénéficiant d'un accès direct à la plage de sable fin où se nichent des associations privées.

    Vous pouvez utiliser la maison comme une base de la maison pour profiter du ciel bleu du Maine en été, peep au feuillage spectaculaire à l'automne, les poissons de glace ou de ski et la motoneige en hiver.

    La cuisine est équipée d'une cuisinière à gaz pleine, réfrigérateur, micro-ondes et est équipée avec tous les ustensiles et la vaisselle nécessaire.

    Il y a une salle lumineuse et aérée et un salon avec une vue à 180 degrés sur le lac et les grands espaces. Nous fournissons un canot, un gril à gaz pour la cuisson en plein air, et tout ce que vous aurez besoin pour votre escapade, y compris les draps et les serviettes.

    La maison principale comprend une baignoire, une chambre avec un lit queen-size et une mezzanine avec un canapé-lit futon et un canapé-lit futon.

    Il y a une laveuse et sécheuse, Wifi, et smart TV à écran plat.

    Un studio indépendant avec une entrée privée présente un concept à aire ouverte avec une baignoire de 3/4, un grand lit et un canapé gigogne.

    Nous avons beaucoup de stationnement. Il y a aussi beaucoup de sièges de plage en plein air avec un foyer extérieur. Un quai de 30 pieds pour amarrer votre bateau. Accès au chargeur Tesla.

    Ensemble, les deux unités dorment huit confortablement.

    Les réservations sont du samedi au samedi. Check-in à 15h00 et départ à 12h00.

We had a perfect extended family getaway by the lake. The sandy beach, dock and paddle gear made our stay so much fun! The in-law apartment worked out great to give us all space while still being so close.

The lake is beautiful, and we loved having the kayaks, floaties, dock, and beach. The house is basic but clean and has a beautiful view from the kitchen and living room. Peter was also quick to respond to any questions. We did have some maintenance issues and a couple of things were broken. We also had to clean the outside furniture ourselves as it was too dirty to use when we arrived. So just be ready for that :)

Beautiful property and view from the dining window. Location is magnificent. Wife, kids and myself loved the beach, kayaks, paddle boards, etc. Communication with Peter was excellent.We look forward to coming back.

Lovely location right on the lake with beautiful views from the living room window. When I needed to communicate twice with the host, he answered right away. The home was outfitted with everything we needed and was as described in the listing.

Wondetful spot, beautiful views, lovely large sandy beach. Plenty of beach "stuff". Toys for children, many beach chairs and Adirondack chairs for the 2 fire pits. Wood supplied.Kayaks, canoes, sail surfing boards available, and used!The house was well appointed, extremely clean, beds comfortable.All that we needed was available, including plenty of trash bins (that aren't always available at other Vibro vacation homes).Owner close by and responds quickly. Very nice gentleman.Also disconnected studio for privacy, again clean and well appointed.I'd surely book agsin for sure!Rosalie Wright

Excellent lake front house

My wife and two daughters just finished our weekend stay and we had an absolute blast. The beach and dock were excellent. There were plenty of water toys and the water is crystal clear. The grocery store is close, the Maine Wildlife park is just down the road, and it's not far off I95 so it made for a pretty great weekend getaway. We will hopefully be back next summer. Thank you Peter!

Peacefull vacation

Very clean and well supplied with everything needed for a relaxing week. The owner was available for questions when needed, but was not at all intrusive. The dock was not available due to the excessive rain, but Peter made arrangements with a neighbor to use their dock for our boat. Very nice.

Wonderful week on the lake in August

Peter is a great host. The lake is lovely and clean. Getting into the water is gradual and sandy, which made it easy for our grandkids to walk in and play where it's shallow or jump in off the dock. They loved swimming to the floating dock. Lots of chairs for sitting by the lake plus kayaks, canoes and paddle boards. The house is as described and very comfortable. The separate "apartment" below the main house worked well for our two families. We had a great time. Thank you, Peter.

The view can't be beat. The cabin was clean and very cute. Our only complaint was that the bed was very soft and bouncy for our taste and we considered sleeping on the mattress on the floor upstairs but didn't want to be that far from the bathroom (old people problems). We used a couple of the kayaks to cruise out on the calm waters in the morning and loved hearing the loons. We didn't realize the beach was shared and was surprised to see a couple of ladies swimming out there when we woke up. We had plans and were in and out a lot that weekend... but when we were there... we were on that beach gazing at that beautiful lake. I bet it's stunner in the fall when the leaves change!

Family Vacation

We booked this site because of the lake, the location to Portland and golf courses, and the ability to bring our dogs. We were blessed that all 3 of our adult children got the time off, we were all together with my 90 year old Mom. The house was perfect, we loved spending the whole day in the lake, Peter supplies the paddle boards, canoes, kayaks, and a paddle boat. The setting was amazing, and our son proposed to his girlfriend on the dock in front of our family!!! It was a perfect week in the perfect spot, we will be coming back for sure!!!!! Thank You Peter for such an amazing location for our momentous event!!!

Loved our first trip to Maine!

I stayed at this house with my mom, dad and adult daughter. There was plenty of room for all of us to spread out and enjoy the week. The house itself had everything we needed and then some! While we didn’t have the best of weather, we thoroughly enjoyed time on the dock, in the paddle boat and kayak, and the beach. We could have easily stayed another week and loved every day. We drove to Freeport for shopping, Portland and Cape Elizabeth for sightseeing and Boothbay Harbor area for the botanical gardens and a whale watching excursion. Everything was a bit of a drive from the house but I knew that before booking. We wanted to see Maine and all the different countrysides so this location ended up being perfect for us! Thank you for opening your house up to us so we could experience Maine together. Memories were made that will last a lifetime ❤️

Incredible spot!

What an amazing oasis. The house is very comfortable, well appointed and right on the beach! Peter was a gracious and responsive host. Lots of thoughtful touches, kindling and newspapers for s’more fires, buckets of water by the door to reduce the amount of sand one tracks in, etc. Perfect vacation. Highly recommended.

Fabulous stay on Sabbathday Lake!

We had a wonderful week at Peter’s rental on Sabbathday Lake! Lovely, well equipped rental—plentiful kitchen and cooking supplies. We were very happy and Peter was a gracious and lovely host. Great spot for kids with the nice sandy beach and lots of interesting things to do in the area! Would happily go back!

Two Weeks on the lake

We chose this property for its proximity to a family member who owns a house on the lake, and we rented it for two weeks. This property is nicely landscaped and situated on the south end of Sabbathday Lake. A wall of windows in the living room provides a spectacular panoramic view of the lake and its surrounds. The water is shallow and crystal clear and just steps from the door. The kitchen is well appointed with a nice set of dishes and everything you need for cooking, even a good set of knives. The house has two separate entrances, which was perfect for the days our adult children visited - they used the studio apartment which afforded them privacy and their own bathroom. It is located near a main road, but the traffic on it is sparse. The owner is genuinely nice, lives nearby and was extremely responsive, including replacing a piece of furniture that didn't meet our needs.

The Perfect Lakeside Experience!

Our host, Peter and his Assistant Petey were wonderful hosts! The have thought of everything and more when it comes to creature comforts and thoughtful things. Clean, comfortable, and well stocked. Beautiful sandy beach with fire pits and fully stocked with wood. Kayaks, canoes, paddle boat and boards. Stocked kitchen. New High end washer and dryer. The list goes on and on. We give this place a 10🌟

Relaxing vacation

Had a great week on Sabbathday Lake. The house was very clean and Peter was responsive when we had any questions. The lake was perfect to kayak, fish and paddleboard. The beach was clean. It was a good location to stay and travel around the area.

Highly recommend!

Wonderful property on peaceful lake with beautiful views and sunsets. Energetic adults enjoyed canoes and paddle boats. House great room modern and cozy. Loved mid century furniture and well stocked kitchen. Peter welcoming and we hope to return next year!

Lovely family get away

This is a great rental. It has everything you could want, very clean and everything is as it looks on the website. The beach area is wonderful and lots of great sand for children to play in. There are 6 paddle boards, 4 kayaks, 2 canoes, a paddle boat, fishing equipment and life jackets. Great for families that love the water.

Awesome view

Very clean, amazing view, my family had a great stay here. The beach area is shared but never crowded or more than a few people around when we stayed. The owner was friendly and available to help throughout our trip. Would definitely recommend!
