The host was great to deal with and very responsive. The house is well stocked with all the essentials. The pool and hot tub were great and enjoyed by everyone. The pool toys were in poor shape so I’d recommend bringing your own.

We had a wonderful first time experience in New Buffalo and in this house! The house was well equipped and spacious. We were outside a lot using the pool and enjoying the soghts, beaches and restaurants in the area. Walking to town was easy which was wonderful. Our host was readily available- though we did not need to connect except once! I would recommend this house to a large family!

Great backyard space to hang out. Awesome location to walk and explore the area and an easy drive to other spots along the lake. The few minor issues we had were quickly communicated and addressed with the owner, so the trip went on without a hitch.

Another Exceptional Visit

We have stayed at this property 7x and it was another great experience. Peaceful and quiet setting and with the hot weather, the pool was used extensively. Walking distance to everything and the neighborhood is perfect for walking our dog.

Disappointed

We were looking forward to our trip to New Buffalo, but unfortunately, this property fell short of expectations. The hot tub was unusable due to being filthy upon arrival, and the pool had no ladder or steps, making it unsafe and extremely difficult to get in or out, especially for kids or older guests.What made the situation worse was the lack of communication from the owner. I reached out promptly to try and resolve these issues, but after several messages, I received no response. That lack of follow-through was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional, especially when you're paying a premium price for amenities that aren’t functional.This home has potential, but the current lack of outdoor cleanliness, safety concerns, and poor communication made for a very disappointing experience. I hope the owner takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements for future guests.

Friends reunion

loved the property, it is laid out well The pool and hot tub are nice. The hot tube could have been cleaner and the weather was to cold for the pool. The only draw back ,was the lack of parking space. We had 10 guests, none road together , so we had to shuttle from other locations.

Comfy home

We came in town for a family member's wedding. This property was great! There were a few questions I had, to which the home owner fixed or took care of immediately. So no complaints! Heather was amazing and was on top of responding to me or keeping me up to date. I will say though... either the water heater is on a timer or it will need replaced soon. It seemed the hot water was gone quick. *(We tried quick showers and gave it a reasonable time for it to fill up.)* And when you have multiple people needing to shower for an event, it was cold. So I would check with her about that, before staying again. Aside from that, it was a great house to stay in! It was a great house to entertain and feel comfortable in. And the neighborhood was super quite. Thanks for everything Heather!

Perfect for Weekend Getaway!

Overall we had a great weekend! The open layout of the house was perfect for hanging out and relaxing. The backyard is truly amazing and we loved having the option of using the hot tub. We did wish the house would have had some blankets for us to use since it was pretty chilly and it seemed like the heat had a hard time keeping up.

Good location, would not book again

My family and I (3 adults; and a 17 year old) spent Thanksgiving at the property. The communication with the host was good, as well as the location. Host reached out in advance to let me know the oven was too small for a turkey (it's oddly small, and you can barley fit a 9x13 pan in it). Host also mentioned there were upcoming kitchen cabinet repairs, so some cabinets/draws were not working. Wine refrigerator was not working. The property itself is run-down and could use a deep clean. We found the light switches to be goofy, and some outlet plugs didn't work for us. The pots and pans could use a refresh. Bathroom countertops don't provide a lot of space for toiletries, etc. One toilet was slow to flush, and 1 bathroom sink was not draining quickly. The listing said the property provides laundry soap. We were supplied 2 laundry pods, and 3 dryer sheets. If you need to do laundry, buy or bring detergent. Overall, it was ok. The outdoor space was nice, as well as the hot tub. The host also allowed for an early check in.

Great girls weekend in cute lakeside town

This property was perfect for 4 adult women. We each had our own bedroom. Everything was well appointed and comfortable and the hot tub was divine. The location was spectacular- walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars and the beach. We will definitely try to stay here again.

Girls Weekend

This was the perfect place for our girls weekend. The house is cozy and comfortable. The best part of this vacation home is the host. Communication with her is excellent, and she is so accommodating and kind. We loved how close to town we were yet still able to enjoy a relaxing and quiet neighborhood. We sat and watched 2 deer visit us each day. They seemed to be part of the neighborhood. We went to the beach and enjoyed the view of the water and then walked some trails at one of the nearby parks. Dinner at Ghost Isle Brewery was delicious! We ended the evening with a visit to Four Winds Casino. The only negatives were we didn’t get in the hot tub and we only had 2 days to stay. I would definitely recommend this home for your vacation.

Great Stay

Had a great stay in New Buffalo. We were lucky in October to still be able to enjoy the pool to cool off after frequent dips in the hot tub! Tons of space inside and outside for big groups. Excellent communication and flexibility with host. Walking distance to downtown and beach (though not sure would want to haul anything more than a towel and light weight chair on that walk). Would definitely stay again. Thanks for a wonderful stay Heather!

Multiple Stays

We have stayed at this property 6x. It is close to town and we bring our dog, so there are plenty of areas to walk. Property is clean and the backyard is the star of the site. We will be back again.

Would not book again

The house was very poorly maintained. The hot-tub smelled and the home smelled musty and didn’t feel entirely clean. All fans were noisy and clanky. The air conditioning didn’t really cool the home and the house felt muggy due to it not going under 78*. The dishwasher was not working but the owner did call beforehand to see about having it fixed while we were using the home; we declined. Good location for walking into town but would not rebook.

Mom and sisters get away

All I have to say is this is a great property. The house is spacious and well equipped. Back deck and pool amazing! Close proximity to the beach and restaurants. You can walk if you want to. Would come back again!
