Relaxation and tranquility await at Ah! This is the Life! This charming bungalow situated just six short miles from the Wimberley Square boasts all the convenience and charm of the Village of Wimberley with the seclusion and immersion into nature of being out in the country.

Ah! This is the Life is a one bedroom, one-bathroom treasure with the unique master sleeping area just off the dining room. While this set-up sounds unconventional, it makes this a perfect choice for a romantic getaway for two or is even suitable for families, two couples, or just friends getting away together. The wooded view from the back windows is an ideal location to watch the area wildlife roam and with the charming barn door window from the bed to the kitchen, coffee in bed is how many mornings will be spent.

There is a full kitchen, so you don’t even have to leave after a quick trip to the grocery store. Once you venture outside, we are sure you won’t want to leave the property for the duration of your stay! The hippie hot tub is a unique feature rarely found in the area. This roomy tub is connected to an instant hot water heater but you have the control of the water temperature from the faucet, so this tub is a delight in cool weather but also in the heat of the summer.

Follow the trail around the back of the property and you will find yourself at one of the most beautiful spots on Lone Man Creek. Take a dip or just enjoy the view. There are sitting areas for your use and you won’t want to miss this local treasure.

The house was very clean, the advertising ad is not what we experienced. It states waterfront property which is untrue. There is an old riverbed behind the property but no water and there hasn’t been any in years per the neighbors. The brochure on the table states fire starter logs, birdseed, and chlorine tabs for hippie hot tub, however none of that was available. The brochure is very outdated. We still enjoyed ourselves very much.
This is right behind the house where there is supposed to be a river.

This location and house were perfect for our stay. I prefer to be away from crowds at night and start slowly in the morning, and this location gave me the retreat I needed while being close to everywhere I wanted to go in Wimberley. I met the host while outside on the property, and he was so kind and helpful with information about the area and answers to our questions. Highly recommend!

A lovely weekend stay!

This was an adorable little house to stay in! It had all the amenities that we needed & plenty of kitchen cookware for us to make meals. We had a couple issues with the oven but the property owners tried to fix it & then offered to send additional workers which we turned down bc we were able to use the outside grill instead. They were very kind & accommodating & even offered us a bottle of wine to make up for the inconvenience. Had a nice big tv for us to hook up our game system & play on. I would not hesitate to book this place again & I hope to do so again this fall!

Quiet time

Great location for some quiet time. Gorgeous little cottage with all the necessities — cooking, Keurig, towels. Outside there was patio furniture and lounge chairs. FYI: we had absolutely zero cell service but the property internet was awesome.

Perfect Vacation Place for Spring Break

The place is nice and clean. It is located in a very quiet, peaceful area, away from roads and the city. The host is very kind and generous. You can hike outside and enjoy the creek. My son had a blast in the hot tub outside. Overall, we had a great time staying here.

Country Getaway!

I loved this place! It was super clean, and felt very luxurious! The linens are divinely soft and comfortable beds! We loved the hippy hot tub! I only have 2 complaints. The first, the Hippy Hot Tub needs a better draining system, and the second is please fix the back door the porch. The deadbolt isn’t aligned and we couldn’t lock the door for our entire stay!

Great quiet spot near natural beauty

We really enjoyed this place. The creek and outdoor area were fantastic, and it felt very private despite being in a neighborhood. The bed, linens, even the pillows (I almost took one with me they were so nice for my neck and back!), and all amenities were just right for the price. The windows in the converted sunroom make early mornings and evenings especially pleasant. Drawbacks were the property across the street when approaching the house- not real friendly for a walk in the area, but as I said the backyard space made up for that. The DVD player didn’t work for us, but I know most folks don’t watch dvds anymore anyway. We’re old school! Short distance to Wimberley sights and fun. The restaurant right down the street really is fantastic, can’t remember the name. Thanks very much for the clean and adequate quarters!

Perfect weekend getaway Location convenient to area activities understanding that a 10-15 min drive is the trade off for being in the country Would come back in spring or fall when there is more water in the creek. Excellent spot for our purposes.

I genuinely did not enjoy this stay. I found the listing to be inaccurate, and very good at glossing over the reality of the place. The photos look peaceful, serene, secluded, and creek side. The reality is that there are neighbors directly next door, and the creek access is through their property. The property is dated, but nice. One very important thing left out in the listing is that it is a wet weather only creek. I wouldn't have booked the property had this been mentioned anywhere. There was no water in the creek to kayak, once we eventually figured out that we had to go through the neighbor's property to access it. Directions/ details were lacking. The hippy hot tub was nice at first, but there was no instructions on using it and it wouldn't drain, so we couldn't go back into it the next day. The biggest issue with our stay though was the safety concern. The home was rented with a back door that did not close, or lock. It was held shut by a dining room chair upon arrival. There is no cell phone service with t mobile, so although I had wifi I couldn't message the host company to inquire about the situation. It was late upon arrival for my 4yo so put him to sleep and stood guard staring at the door that didn't close/ lock all night. The communication issue is definitely not on the agency though, my cell phone service simply didn't work at the cabin. We had wifi, but no way to text/ message the host company until we were packed up and gone the following day.

Country getaway

My husband and I are wanted a quiet weekend getaway for our birthdays. We found this little house we found to be just that. It’s out in the middle of now where which is what we wanted. Not to be taken the wrong way but it reminded us of your grandmas house, very quaint, back in time. It rained the whole time which was unfortunate because we couldn’t enjoy the outdoors but it still was nice.
