Whether you are needing a quiet family getaway or looking to explore North Carolina’s natural beauty, Blackberry Creek Cabin offers the best of both worlds. Our 2-acre private wooded lot in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains is surrounded by trees so as you enjoy your morning coffee on the front porch swing or take a nap on the hammock, there are no neighbors to disturb your relaxation. Our central location is the perfect home base for many local activities. Pristine Lake James is only a 10-minute drive and offers a swim beach, kayaking, boating, fishing and much more! Numerous hiking/biking trails, waterfalls, and ziplines are within a 30-minute drive. Enjoy the quaint downtown streets of Marion (10 mi) and Morganton (15 mi) where you will find boutiques, breweries, and tasty eateries. If you head west to Asheville (30 min), be sure to visit the famous Biltmore Estate as well as beautiful Pisgah National Forest and the unique Sliding Rock and waterfall. We are also conveniently located near several event venues and wineries, perfect for family gatherings.


Enjoy our fully equipped kitchen with all you will need to prepare meals for the family. Also enjoy the recently added outdoor dining spaces on the main level deck. Our cabin features soft white linens and towels for all guests. The queen sleeper sofas have a 6-inch memory foam mattress for extra comfort. Gas grill, fire pit, front porch swing, hammocks, lower-level game room with shuffle board, assorted games and pellet stove. We have received an updated internet router and have 3 smart TV’s so guests can access their own streaming services, we do not have cable service. ***Speeds can vary, if too many devices are connected at once.***


Private, spacious bedrooms on the main floor and second floor offer queen beds, full bathrooms, and ample closet space and furniture to store your items. One sleeper sofa is located on the second floor loft and offers privacy and terrific views, and the second sleeper sofa is located in the finished lower level, complete with a full bathroom and entertainment. Maximum occupancy is 8 persons, regardless of age. Laundry machines are available for use in the lower level.


***We require an insurance policy for renters. The administrative fee is refundable within 3-5 days of the exit clean and inspection. This fee covers any trash left on the property. All trash is to be removed by renter prior to departure. Directions are provided for the closest trash site.***


Our min stay is 3- 5 nights. Please check the calendar for nightly rates and availability.
No early arrival is allowed on days where guests are departing. Early arrival fees will apply prior to 3pm, and arrival must be approved by management.


***We have a strict no smoking / no vaping policy: this is not allowed on, or in, any aspect of the property. Please adhere to all house rules for your safety and consideration of others to avoid termination of stay and additional fees. No pets allowed due to owner allergy.*** Any damages found at the exit cleaning and inspection will be assessed to the exiting guest. It is the responsibility of the guest to report any damages found or made by them. Insurance may not cover all damages and the guest is 100% responsible for payment of any damage noted at the exit inspection.
