Sokotucket is a charming Nantucket home walking distance from the heart of town. With proximity to all its restaurants, shopping, art galleries and more. The beach is nearby. The house comes with one parking space, and is also convenient to public transportation, so you can explore the island at your leisure.
This spacious upside-down house with views of the harbor has a comfortable open floor plan and great light. Newly renovated with outdoor decks, and an outdoor shower add to the charm of the brand new furnishings. The master bedroom comes en-suite with its own soaking tub and separate shower. The two downstairs guest bedrooms share a jack-and-jill bathroom, while the 4th guest bedroom is located upstairs, and comes with another en-suite with a bath. With private decks both upstairs and down, an outdoor shower and a gas grill Sokotucket is the perfect getaway for couples and families with kids... A great vacation destination!! and welcome guests for long weekends, weekly and monthly rentals off-season as well. Come visit Nantucket all year round.

The PERFECT House

This house is located in a GREAT spot, close to town and anywhere you want to go. It is very close to the bike trails where you can ride bikes all over. Everything was very clean and well kept and the host, Mike, was awesome! I highly recommend this place.

Perfect

It was our first visit to the island and Mike’s house was the perfect location for us. The house is a classic Nantucket cedar shake anchored with endless summer hydrangeas blooming straight up the window ledge and bordered with privacy hedgerow out front. The interior was clean, well appointed, and very comfortable. We easily walked into the downtown area for dinners but there is also plenty of coffee, lunch, and casual dinner options even closer. We couldn’t walk to any real beaches but the bike paths to beaches were also very close by. Mike was wonderful, quick to respond and had very flexible check-in and out times.

Perfect spot central to island

6.5 cherry was perfect for group of 8 girl friends. Walk to town takes about 15 minutes and if you have a car you’re not stuck in downtown traffic. Bike paths easy to access. Groceries and liquor store around the corner. Mike was so responsive with absolutely any request from a clogged drain to beach chairs and towels. Kitchen and living room are perfect for a group, appliances and furniture are updated and beautiful, and all rooms have AC units except twin beds in basement so that got a little stuffy. Fine for kids. Upstairs has small patio overlooking harbor and downstairs deck has larger seating area plus outdoor shower. Would definitely rent again. Price was more reasonable than most other properties and sun-sun rental was key.

Best Rental Experience on Nantucket

From the moment that my friends and family arrived to Mike’s home, his incredible hospitality was evident. Mike was there to greet us and answer any questions and throughout the weekend was just a phone call away at any hour to ensure that we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. Mike was extremely respectful and by far the best host we’ve experienced on Nantucket. Mike’s home is incredibly well maintained and comfortable for a trip with family and / or friends. The bedrooms and living room were clean and everything we needed was in the house. Thank you, Mike, for an amazing trip to Nantucket. We will all be recommending you to anyone that we hear is visiting the Island.

Beautiful, large home!

We stayed for a quick weekend trip with a group of friends. Check in process was super easy, and the house was perfectly clean and in great condition. Very large, spacious property in a great location. About a 10 minute walk into town, very short bike ride. Was also a reasonable bike ride to Cisco beach and was walking distance to stop and shop. Loved the upstairs deck and outside shower. Mike was a. very nice and helpful host. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Awesome stay over 4th of July - great property

We have rented on the island over the years, and we loved our stay. The house was clean and well appointed. The location was perfect given that we didn't rent a car. Literally everything seems to be just a little bit under a mile away - all the restaurants, the heart of the town, the grocery stores... there is a convenience store steps away. The house has comfortable beds, a very nice kitchen, a little balcony overlooking the area, a terrace, and a grill. It was a pleasure to deal with Mike. Couldn't have been a more pleasant experience. We'll be back.

Great house and location!

We visited with a diverse group, ages 11-80, and everyone enjoyed their stay! We walked to town every day, biked to the beach and enjoyed great meals out and cooked at home. The house is clean, beautifully decorated and had great space for our group. Mike was very helpful and available to answer any questions - he even brought over a flashlight for us when there was a local hurricane warning. We will definitely come back!

Perfectly lovely

This house is lovely. It is beautifully decorated and also very clean. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped including some staples such as salt, pepper and olive oil. The location is perfect. It is close enough to town (a 10 minute walk) to be convenient but far enough out that there is no noise. The Wave bus stop is only about a block away. The grocery store is only a 5 minute walk. Our family of 9 found the house suited our needs perfectly. Mike, the owner, is close by and was helpful with Allen wrenches for bike adjustments and dining suggestions. This will be our go to place for any future trips to Nantucket..

Perfect- even in the midst of a hurricane!

Mike, the owner, was responsive and accommodating from the very beginning! When we found out hurricane Dorian was hitting Nantucket, Mike let us check in early to avoid getting hit by the storm. The house was lovely and is exactly as pictured and we really enjoyed the big, open kitchen/dining area/living room. This house would be absolutely perfect for a family vacation to the island. It’s also less than a mile away from town, which worked out well for us. While we weren’t able to walk there thanks to the hurricane, Ubers were plentiful and it was only a few minute drive. Thank you Mike for your hospitality and sharing your lovely home with my family!
