'The Apartment is amazing, and must be one of the best on the beachfront. Easy walking distance to the Beach, to the Tug and Jetty Restaurants and to good bars. The apartment itself is very spacious with great furnishings and well looked after. I'd definitely stay there again anytime. Negatives were small, like the TV was not big and the wifi slow, but we did not really spend that much time using those in any case. 'Communicating with the host was frustrating. An hour before arrival there was still back and forth communication because she did not have the booking due some issue with her Vrbo account. Booking was made for 3 guests, bedding was only provided for 2 guests. Requested additional bedding, only duvet and pillows delivered at 9am, no sheets. Give this property a miss if you want to avoid frustration and poor service. '

'We only stayed at the property for one night as a stopover between tours. The place is nice and very conveniently located within walkable distance to the few sights there are to see in Windhoek, and some restaurants and coffee shops. I got e-mails with two different unit numbers so there was some confusion at the check-in which one was the correct one. Also, the electric meter was not "filled up" so the security person had to contact the property manager to do that in order for us not to run out...

'We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Barend's property. It was clean, spacious and well furnished. The beds and couch were very comfortable. We especially appreciated how well the air conditioning worked since we rarely experienced that at the other lodges around Namibia. The guard to The Village was helpful too. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.'

"Bungalow confortable avec petite terrasse. Lodge bien situé à l'entrée du parc de Sossusvlei. Petit-déjeuner pouvant être pris assez tôt pour pouvoir partir à l'aube dans les dunes. Les campeurs ou autres personnes ne bénéficiant pas de repas dans leur lodge peuvent venir prendre le repas du soir. Sous forme de buffet bien fourni avec braai pour la cuisson des différentes viandes. De ce fait ambiance moins intime vu la forte fréquentation. La journée, on peut parfois y apercevoir des springbok, autruches ...."

"We came early because our flight was early. So our room was not ready yet. But the person at the reception gave us breakfast which was really good. And we could stay at the swimming pool until our room was ready. The swimming pool was cold but refreshing and it was very nice to wait there. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The room was perfect, breakfast and dinner was also very delicious and good. Overall we stayed there one night because the start of our safari tour the next day. But we enjoyed our stay. Thanks a lot."
