A Cozy Retreat: The Water Lily, a Perfect Refuge with Heated Pool in the Marais Poitevin

Cottage located in a protected Natura 2000 area, perfect for peace and relaxation, on a 2-hectare property nestled between woods and canals. Le Bas Marais is in the Marais Poitevin, in southern Vendée. It’s an ideal retreat to enjoy the heated pool in the morning and the ocean’s salt air in the afternoon.



Just 20 minutes from Luçon, 40 minutes from Vendée’s sandy beaches, 45 minutes from La Rochelle, Île de Ré, and La Roche-sur-Yon, 25 minutes from Lake Mervent, its zoo, and Vouvant, and 1 hour from Puy du Fou park.



This cozy, intimate cottage is designed for 2 guests. Relax in the bright living area with a TV and a fully equipped kitchen (washing machine, electric oven, microwave). There’s a bedroom with a double bed (140 x 190) and a spacious bathroom.



Adjacent to the Tournesol cottage, each accommodation has its own private garden separated by shrubs, a terrace, barbecue, outdoor furniture, and loungers—all facing the canal.



The heated, secure pool is open from mid-May to late August, depending on the weather, from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.



Outdoor games available: soccer, badminton, ping-pong, volleyball, darts, swing, slide, Molkky. Bicycles are available, and you can take a boat ride on the Hollandais canal.



Fishing enthusiasts are welcome—please bring your own equipment. Free Wi-Fi.



Pets are not allowed.



Bed linen and towels can be reserved in advance for an extra charge; your bed will be made before you arrive. Baby essentials are provided free of charge on request (made-up cot, high chair, baby bath).



Underfloor electric heating is available for an extra charge.
