Good place for a skiing holiday
Very nice accommodation, well recommended for a skiing trip. Furniture and appliances are of high quality and there is ample of room in the apartment. Location is near the village, in a quiet neighborhood. Ski-bus stop is located nearby, but do note that the buses will only take you to either the Vercland or the Grand Massif Express ski-lifts (surprisingly not to Morillon). Upon return, you'll either need to take a bus from the Morillon ski-lift or walk back 700 meters to the apartment. There is a small Vival supermarket in walking distance (900 meters), but do note that it only opens at 08:00. The bakery in the village (1.2 km) opens at 07:00 daily. There is a big Carrefour Market in Samoëns.
There are some things to consider:
1) The accommodation is advertised as a 2 bedroom apartment. It is not. There is only one bedroom with a double bed and a bunk bed and there is a couch for two in the living room. This was an unpleasant surprise for us.
2) The owner demands a € 200 security deposit to be paid in cash on the spot. We were confronted with this upon arrival without prior notice. This can (and should) be handled through HomeAway/Abritel instead.
3) The location is not as is shown on the map in the advertisement. It would be helpful if the correct address would be listed. We only found about the signs showing the direction after a couple of days.
