The young lady at the front desk was very pleasant. Non- smoking rooms were limited so she put us on the second floor. We trudged up the outside stairs in the cold with our bags only to discover that the door won’t open. It wouldn’t budge after several attempts, so I went back down to the office for help. She gave me keys for the room next door, and they worked! However, the heater wasn’t working and the room smelled of stale cigarette smoke. I called her and she came up with keys for another room. Yes, everything worked! There was no fridge and no coffee pot (coffee was there) which meant I had to get dressed and go down the cold outside stairs to the dining area for my wake-up coffee in the morning. Everything was clean, bed was comfortable, though the covers were worn with holes in them. Once settled in we had a pleasant, comfortable stay.
