Zeer goed uitgerust vakantiehuis voor zomer en winter

Alles prima. Het zwembad heeft verschillende dieptes waardoor het leuk is voor elke leeftijd vanaf 5 jaar tot 99 jaar.

Simply gorgeous!

Beautiful traditional farmhouse in a quiet location surrounded by plum trees. Perfect size pool for 4 energetic teenager girls and their floats! Plenty of bathrooms and lovely variety of outdoor spaces to enjoy evenings playing cards and watching the sun go down.

We spent a wonderful 2 weeks holiday at Girou. The house is beautifully renovated and maintained and is extremely well equipped - it has everything we could have wanted and more! We were a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 teenage girls) but the house is very well set up for more guests. The pool was perfect for our sun worshippers! The house is ideally situated with so much to see and do nearby although we spent most of our time just relaxing at Girou. Highlights were the morning markets at Nerac (Saturday) and Issigeac (Sunday).We would definitely love to return!

We stayed here in August and it was just perfect! The location,the house absolutely everything. The owners were extremely helpful from check in right until we checked out. The house was spotless and impeccably presented. The surrounding area was idyllic and we will definitely be coming back. I cannot recommend this property enough

Fabulous house in lovely peaceful location

A perfect holiday house for 9 people in a beautiful and quiet location. The house is spacious and well equipped. The pool and outside seating areas were brilliant, especially the covered area at one end of the property. The best place to sit, enjoying a meal while watching the sunset. Very attentive hosts and housekeeper who were always on hand if needed. The local village Monteton has an evening market in a Tuesday which was great fun with lots of delicious food and wine on offer. We had a wonderful holiday here and wouldn’t hesitate in going back. .

Heaven amongst the plum trees!

We stayed for a week as an extended family (grandparents, parents and 2 children age 11 and 6) in July 2024 and just didn't want to leave! Amazingly well equipped, wonderful, peaceful location, beautiful renovation and grounds. Utterly faultless and would love to return!

Everything you could wish for and more

Girou is a very special place and is highly deserving of its top reviews. It is in a beautifully tranquil location, yet close to amenities. The house was extremely clean and very well equipped - especially the kitchen. We particularly loved that there were so many eating spaces, such that you could eat outside at all times and enjoy or avoid the sun to suit needs. The lovely housekeeper was very responsive to any questions we had. We unreservedly recommend this farmhouse and hope to visit again.

A fabulous holiday retreat, close enough to amenities yet tranquil & quiet. Thoughtful touches from the owners & great attention to detail from their locally based team. Relaxing rural French stay

Lovely two week stay in this large rural property, large enough for two families with teens to stay and have plenty of space. All mod cons and everything we needed for a relaxing stay, especially the pool n large covered veranda area, to enjoy the sunshine and shade equally. Beds n bedding very comfortable. So many beautiful villages n towns to visit in area, day and night markets. We all thoroughly enjoyed every bit of our stay.

Very helpful and responsive owner and nearby housekeeper. Well equipped house with lots of space for two families, and a short walk to Monteton for the Tuesday night market. Would definitely recommend it, and we are considering returning.

Just Fabulous

Having just returned from two wonderful weeks Girou, all I can say is wow. Not only is the location very beautiful and peaceful, but the Villa had absolutely everything a family of 5 could ask for (including good internet for the kids). Its very well equipped and truly a home from home and Neils communications from start to finish were excellent. The world is a very big place and there are many places to see, but we will certainly return here in the future.

Stop looking ! Book this property now!

We’re just back from two fantastic weeks and I can’t say enough good things about the house, location and our holiday. Arrangements were perfect, Neil gave clear instructions, and the drive from the airport was stress free because we knew exactly where we were going. House was ideal for our three teenage boys- they loved the pool. We loved sitting in the covered area and enjoying the fantastic view. A perfect base for day trips, five minutes to the local village for breads each morning, and a totally relaxing holiday. I would go back tomorrow.

A Fantastic Place to Stay

This was supposed to be a full family and extended family trip to celebrate my 60th. After much searching we settled on Moneton.. From the start the comms were excellent. Unfortunately I was unable to travel and spent my birthday being operated on so I gave Neil my son’s details and he took the lead for the now group of 5. He reports it was a beautiful old farm house with so much charm and character. The weather was unbelievable so they spent a great deal of time in the large pool with regular morning walks to the bakers and their incredible pastries. The words of my fussy 16 yr old! They had a few meals out at the recommended restaurants and again all enjoyed it, plus of course they used the BBQ. But maybe not as much as I had been there to do it! Overall they enjoyed the place so much they are trying to get me to book it for next year. I am seriously considering it but maybe when I am out of the neurosurgery hospital!,Thanks Neil sorry I didn’t get there

Beautiful property in a wonderful area

We spent 7 days enjoying glorious weather, great food and pretty local villages and markets. The interior and exterior were even prettier than the photos suggested and the property had everything we could want. Neil and Jane automatically provided plenty of information in advance which meant everything went smoothly. We were disappointed to find the restaurant in Monteton closed during our stay but really enjoyed a 4 course lunch in nearby Allemans sur Dropt for around €29. We would definitely recommend, and although we didn’t have any little ones with us, it would be a lovely place for young families.

Super Séjour

Nous avons passé un super séjour dans cette belle et spacieuse maison qui se situe au calme au milieu des pruniers. Rien ne manque, on se sent comme chez soi. Séjour extrêment agréable

Merci pour cette semaine si paisible dans votre maison décorée avec beaucoup de soin et très agréable à vivre. Au calme sans être isolée, avec de beaux espaces intérieurs, nous avons profité de ce temps pour nous ressourcer. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir, la région est très belle, et il y a de multiples sites à découvrir, que ce soit en intérieur (visites châteaux et autres), ou en extérieur (vélo le long du canal de Garonne qui est magnifique, accro branches, promenades, et plusieurs terra aventura qui permettent de découvrir les villes de façon ludique avec les enfants (pas trop jeunes toutefois). Bref une très belle semaine. Merci!
