Villa Milani was built in the 16th century and maintains intact the characteristics of the enchanting Tuscan Villas. Enveloped by its garden of splendid secular oaks, the villa is nourished by its history that shines through in the furnishings, paintings, spacious rooms and its rustic fireplaces. The Villa is part of the estate La Gigliola that dominates the rolling hills with its geometry of vineyards, its forests of ancient oaks and olive groves.



At the beginning of the 1900s, the villa hosted the rich Milani family and it was here that the young Lorenzo Milani discovered his vocation in the small 13th century chapel dedicated to San Enrico, which can still be visited in the Borgo della Gigliola. This enlightenment led him to a conversion, thus beginning his path as a priest. Don Milani soon became the champion of the poor people and the working class by creating a school for the children of the poor. His commitment and dedication make this priest one of the most human figures of the Church.



The Villa consists of two floors. On the ground floor there are three beautiful halls with sofas, armchairs, paintings and chandeliers of rare beauty. A dining room with a huge fireplace and an old kitchen carefully restored and equipped with all the comforts. Also on the ground floor there is a large double room with bathroom, flat screen TV, WiFi and terrace. Upstairs the Villa has a charming Billiard Room where you can distract yourself with friends with a table and professional cues. Blue room is a romantic double room with flat screen TV, WiFi, bathroom with shower and bathtub. Red room is a spacious triple room with flat screen TV, WIFI, bathroom with shower and bathtub. Green room is also a triple room with flat screen TV, WIFI, bathroom with shower and bathtub. The wonderful central double room with its fine decorations, its intimate poetry and a breathtaking view of the Tuscan hills. This room is also equipped with flat screen TV, WIFI, bathroom with shower and finally two singles that can become doubles if necessary.



The shared garden, equipped with chairs, table and umbrella, will make the customer enjoy wonderful moments in the warm summer evenings of Chianti.



In addition, travelers have access to the pool of the estate. It is possible to have access to a second private swimming pool under request and for an extra fee. The swimming pool is open from June to September according to weather conditions.

From Frantoiano, Moraiolo, Maremmano and Pendolino olives is produced one of the most fragrant and full bodied Italian oils.
