Great place with a great host.

We stayed here at the beginning of May with friends. The first impressions where excellent, Graeme (one of the best hosts we ever met) even went out of his way to provide some cold drinks in the fridge! The house itself had everything we needed, from nice beds to a barbecue and pizza oven (If you’re in touch with your inner Italian, this is a must try!). With all the tips and help from Graeme we had an amazing weekend filled with great trips, we would recommend this house to everybody and would go there again in a heartbeat.

Beautiful fortnight stay at A Puntos

We spent a fantastic 2 weeks at A Puntos. The house, gardens, views and pool were incredible and were a wonderful base for our stay. We were 2 families with 4 young children between us.Graeme and Kirsty were very accommodating and communication was brilliant and very helpful. The house is very well equipped (though maybe a few more plastic glasses, plates and bowls would be good with kids in mind) and the Decor etc has obviously been done with lots of love and care. It really felt like a home from home. Location wise it is a bit further of a drive than we’re used to but all well worth it. The local village was also only 10min drive And really lovely. They had a summer fair on while we were there which the kids loved. We Did canoeing in mirande, a visit to peak du midi, some road cycling in the Pyrenees and visited the animal park near Lourdes which was a big hit with the kids. Such was beautiful and the jazz festival in Marcia’s was fun too. So lots to do and see as well as being able to enjoy lazy days soaking up the sun and views by the pool. Thank you Graeme and Kirsty for a fantastic holiday.

De belles vacances familiales dans une belle maison de campagne

Nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances familiales ce mois d'août. La maison correspond fidèlement aux photos publiées. Située bien au calme avec une vue magnifique. La maison est par ailleurs très bien équipée (bonne litterie, parasols, outils de cuisine, tv, internet, bbq, ...). Last but not least, les propriétaires sont très sympathiques !

Wonderful family holiday

The farmhouse is beautifully renovated, the kitchen is well equipped, all mod-cons, great wifi. The pool is fantastic! The location is relatively remote, in a peaceful spot nestled between two very small villages. The local town (Tries) has everything you need for daily essentials, butcher, bakers, grocers, plus an Intermarche. For larger supermarkets (hypermarkets), various options are further afield near Auch or Tarbes. Grand Frais in Tarbes was fun. There are plenty of fantastic local markets, we enjoyed Mirande and the huge market at Lannemezan, which also seems to have some good restaurant options. Marciac is a beautiful town, and a must when the Jazz festival is on, there's lots to see and free music in the main square and a few other locations in town. We enjoyed some trips to the nearby Castelnau-Magnoac which has a good little market, a reservoir with pedalos (about 5km walk around it), and a fantastic bakery/patisserie La P'tite Boheme We made a couple of day trips to the Pyrenees, although most destinations in the mountains are a couple of hours drive each way. Graeme and Kirsty stay next door (next house along) and were never intrusive but were available to help when we needed it, and have a wealth of local knowledge to share. Thanks both for helping make it an awesome and memorable holiday for all of us!

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour à Mont-de-Marrast entre amis. La maison convient bien à 2 couples avec enfants. La maison est très agréable, le terrain avec la piscine est très bien aménagé avec une vue superbe sur les Pyrénées (par beau temps). Graeme était très disponible, accueillant et attentionné pendant toute la durée de notre séjour.

Perfect

Many times in the past we have been disappointed on arrival at a house that has sounded perfect in the advertising, but not this time. For us this was the perfect spot. It is a beautifully appointed house in a wonderful position. Lying by the pool in complete silence looking out across farmland to the Pyrenees, is all we did and all that we wanted to do. There is, of course, plenty of good eating in the pretty villages around - Marciac and Bassoues, for example - and the usual excellent markets for various foods. The house is very well equipped with every gadget and device - good dishwasher, good washing machine, good TV, good lighting and excellent bathrooms. Outside there is a beautiful pool with high quality pool furniture all set in a large garden. What more can I say?

La maison est fidèle à la description qui en a été faite. Les hôtes sont charmants, discrets, et entretiennent le jardin et la piscine pendant que tout le monde dort encore. La literie est excellente, les salles de bains très vastes et confortables, la cuisine très bien équipée. Nous avons vraiment apprécié la salle à manger extérieure. Le terrain est immense, ce qui garantit le calme et une très très belle vue sur les Pyrennées et la magnifique campagne vallonnée. Nous avons visité la région, et avons apprécié la beauté des paysages, et l'accueils des locaux. Nous reviendrons sans doute !

Great holiday home in good location

We spent a very relaxing and peaceful week at this wonderful old farmhouse. It's in a great location and has stunning views of the Pyrenees from the amazing swimming pool where we spent a lot of time due to the fantastic weather. The farmhouse itself is full of character, is very well equipped and very clean. We particularly enjoyed dining on the terrace in the evenings with a cold beer. We made trips to local markets, to Pic du Midi and also the Cirque de Gavarnie.

Relaxing carefree holiday in Mont de Marrast

We rented A Puntos for 6 weeks in the summer of 2018 for us and our 2 boys (age 4 and 9). The boys loved the grounds and the pool (which were immaculate) and we spent many fun filled days lazing by the pool, sauntering up to the house for leisurely lunches on the covered veranda, then quiet evening watching the stars - I have never see so many. Graeme was fantastic, sorting out any issues (such as empty gas bottle) almost immediately and always on hand to answer any questions. There is lots to do nearby, we went to pic du midi, le petit train d'Artouste, even down to San Sebastian. There are some great restaurants nearly we particularly liked Ferme AUBERGE DE Puydarieux which is great for small kids as they have a little play area, and the Racine Restaurant near Tillac. If you are there when the Jazz Festival is on in Marciac then that's an absolute must - lots of craft fairs and pop up restaurants as well as the music. In all a thoroughly enjoyable holiday.

Great area for a holiday

This is a comfortable house to stay in - 3 couples from New Zealand had a good time here. Really good to have the pool with the weather being so hot. Graeme was very helpful and provided good information about the area. No doubt everyone will be enjoying Tour de France fever very shortly!

Wonderful stay

Graeme and Kirsty met us upon arrival with a very warm welcome and were so very helpful throughout our stay. Normally we prefer to be away from neighbours on our holiday stays but on this occasion it worked beautifully as Graeme and Kirsty were great fun and we thoroughly enjoyed their company, and if you want peace and quite, as we usually do, you wouldn't ever be disturbed, so all good. The house is very nice with fantastic old features including the huge ceiling beams and the wonderful oak floorboards plus fireplace and stove in the lounge . Comfortable and clean the house is well cared for with all the amenities needed plus satellite TV. Beds are comfy and all the sheets etc are top quality. The outside grounds are extensive with good garden areas and large in-ground pool big enough to swim properly. And such wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and of course the majestic Pyrenees, which are visible from the house and gardens. All in all we had a lovely stay and really enjoyed the views, house and peace and tranquility. Thank you Graeme and Kirsty for making our stay so enjoyable.

Wonderfully positioned tidy farm house

We were made to feel very welcome and loved being surrounded by the views of the Pyrenees. The farmhouse was very clean and tidy and had all mod cons. Swimming pool was a delight and all the surrounding area was kept in great order. We travelled around and also spent days by the pool. Graeme was a big help in what to do in the surrounding area and if we did not go out the farm house was extremely peaceful. Many thanks

C’est un lieu vraiment exceptionnel avec une vue à couper le souffle !!

C’est un lieu très reposant où l’on aimerait rester des semaines entières.La piscine était magnifique même si seulement chauffée par le soleil. Nous avons pu profité de la belle terrasse avec sa belle vue aussi. On aimerait revenir !

Amazing property, beautiful location, faultless!

This property is in the most beautiful location with amazing views of the Pyrenees. The house was also perfect with everything you would need home from home. Cannot fault our stay, we even had lunch in Spain which is only 1hr 30min away. Stunning location, stunning house, highly recommend!

Peaceful and stunning

We had an amazing 10 day stay in this lovely house. The house is quite quirky and a real mixture between the old and new, but comes together as being luxurious and comfortable. Owner Graeme was extremely helpful and easy going which makes the stay more welcoming and relaxing. Cheers Graeme!. The pool is where we spent alot of time, it was well maintained and pretty and the grounds spacious, we really needed the pool as it was quite hot during our time there. Also closing the shutters during the day helps keep the house cooler as there is no air-con, but it was never an issue. There are really nice villages in this area, the countryside is absolutely stunning and the local wine is great, what more can I say!.
