This was a great place to stop for the evening. Room was large and comfortable with a kitchenette that had everything needed to fix a meal. The bed was comfortable and there was even a large desk, desk chair and a comfortable recliner. It was just what we needed after a day of driving.

Will NEVER stay at this hotel again. It was GROSS. The floors were greasy, like they had used dirty water to mop with. Massive dirt piled up in the corners of the bathroom, and in the kitchen. I felt dirty even after showering. Shower drain not even attached to the floor. Toilet looked like it hadn’t been cleaned. It was just gross.

My teenage kids had to sleep on the floor. I specifically reserved a suite.1 king with a living room area that has the sofa bed but only got a king suite. No sofa. Just a recliner. The receptionist told me that they were sold out and when i told her that i reserved it, she said when you book third party, you don't get what you want. You get what's left. So what's the point of reserving with Expedia. If you don't get the room THAT YOU NEED!!! That was the whole point of reserving at this hotel. Was the 1 bedroom suite. I needed a sofa bed and my privacy from teenage kids. And i didn't go to sleep until 1130 because the kids upstairs didn't stop running their marathon up there until that time. Smh. Talk about paper thin walls and floors!!

the pool was down and no one gave me notice after calling 2 times and mentioning the pool. the rooms where dirty i tried to move into 2 different rooms all of the them dirty. The room I was checked in had dirty towels hanging under the clean ones in the bathroom. The sheets and comforter for the pull out couch where dirty I had to go get clean sheets for the bed. The silver ware in the kitchen where dirty looked like they where only rinsed with water and put in the drawers. The Second room the desk attendant tried to move me to had food crumbs in the couch bed and on the kitchen counter The Third room the desk attendant tried to move me to the kitchen floor was sticky and it had a nasty smell to the room. very disappointed in the hotel very nasty

The wifi was very slow and disappointing. Stayed at this hotel to dowload a 19 gig file and it wasnt dowloaded the morning after i set it up and had it downloading all night.

This hotel needs work! We got here in the pouring rain, the room we were put in was leaking, changed rooms, same thing. The front doors wouldn’t open when we tried to go out. We finally got it opened, went to eat and came back to trash cans in the lobby where there were leaks!! The girl at the desk was amazing considering what she was having to deal with. We kept the second room, but the carpet around the a/c was soaked.

Disappointed To Say The Least
We have stayed at Candlewood Suites on several occasions. We have always been very satisfied with our stay. This stay was the most disappointing stay we’ve ever had at Candlewood Suites. I understand that with COVID, changes to procedures have been made, as I have been informed about the ice maker in the refrigerator (ice can not be made ahead of time). It’s extremely frustrating to come in late, after a long day on the road, and not have any ice to make a cold drink. There should at least be an ice machine on location to accommodate guests, at least until COVID is over. After the ice incident, I tried to watch TV, the remote would not change the channel or adjust the sound. I had to go back to the front desk again, to get new batteries. I made reservations for 3 adults, I was charged extra for the 3rd adult, which is fine. However, there were only two sets of towels. So now a third trip was needed to the front desk for additional towels To add insult to injury, when it came time to take a shower, there was NO SHOWER curtain! At this point, I’m done with Candlewood Suites, at least until the ice situation is resolved. I know the IHG owns both Candlewood Suites and Holiday Inn Express. The day before, we stayed at a Holiday Inn Express in Oro Valley, Az....it was absolutely awesome..both comfort and customer service. The only positive comment about this hotel, the room was clean and the beds comfortable...

Standard room. It seems the refrigerators are a bit loud (I have stayed here several times). In the past they have had signs that no guns are allowed, c'mon, the hotel is located in TX! I cannot remember if those signs are still up or have been replaced by covid mask signs.
