Next to the beach you have a long promenade where you can stroll and enjoy the beautiful sea view. Westende also has a sports beach and for cyclists, the extensive polder landscape is waiting to be discovered. Numerous sports facilities are available in the immediate vicinity: extensive cycling and walking routes, sports hall, tennis, petanque, mini golf, riding school, surfing centre. There are also various events taking place throughout the year: Comic strip festival, North Sea torchlight procession, Summer happening, Valentine's Day, Burgundy, Fishing, Beer, Agriculture and Champagne weekend. In short, there is always something going on in Westende.
