'Myself and my partner were really impressed by the beautiful decor at Lanelay Hall the hotel and our room was very spacious - the biggest room I’ve ever had whilst staying at a hotel. The happy birthday treats and petals were a really kind lovely touch too. The location was disappointing as we pulled up to the hotel gates in a housing estate (our expectation was a countryside hotel). 'Way overpriced for what you get. Old reputation may be good but that must be years ago. Noisy room. No cleaning of rooms when you stay longer than 1 night. Old building. The staff tried to do their best but can not help the problems this hotel has.'

'Nice building, character. We had a huge room in the eves, great. However, there is a need for some maintenance, stair carpet a big hole, some woodwork could do with a lick of paint, silicone refreshing. The spa, mmmm, clean those shower walls and repair some taps and such. It really needs to be uplofted in places.'
