It was everything we expected. We loved the simplicity of the adobe home—it felt very peaceful and relaxing. The house sits on a quiet dead-end street next to a park and ball field. It was actually really nice listening to families outside enjoying themselves. The backyard was one of our favorite parts. It was very relaxing in the evenings, especially sitting by the firepit in the cool air. Our basset hounds absolutely loved the backyard as well.We brought an extra fan because my husband prefers it cooler than normal. We kept the windows and doors open and enjoyed hearing the birds, and even chickens and a goat in the distance. The adobe home itself is simple, cozy, and very comfortable. The kitchen is large, although we didn’t cook since there are so many delicious New Mexican restaurants nearby in Mesilla and Las Cruces. We especially enjoyed Andele’s Dog House and Paisano Cafe. And breakfast burritos from Bosa Burritos & Donuts. Both bedrooms were spacious. The main bedroom has a tall king-size bed positioned against the wall under a window. Because the bed sits fairly high, anyone who has trouble climbing up might want to bring a small step stool. The second bedroom has a more standard-height bed. There is one large TV in the living room. The landscaping around the property is beautifully done in a Southwestern style. I also enjoyed walking through the neighborhood and into the center of Mesilla. Most definitely will stay here again!! Thank you
