Just fine
Overall this property was just fine; it has the basics and it did work for our family. It is a little rough around the edges and would benefit from some work. With that extra work (redoing bathroom, refinishing floors, painting) this house would be a real gem.

the house is a bit rundown, bath/shower worked ok however old and rusty but clean. basement useless and messy garden nice large but messy, neighbourhood nice a bit pricey for what you get, but would go back good for people with dogs

Good location, not so good of a house
This house is listed as a 3 bed 2 bath house. The three bedrooms are very small but you can get by for a day or two. The beds were in rough shape and not very comfortable. The queen (I think it was a queen but seemed smaller) has a frame but the box spring is just on the floor. The bathroom upstairs is very narrow. The second bath downstairs is not one you’d want to use. There is a ton of old trash and clothes scattered all over the basement. Overall it seems like whoever bought this house watched too much HGTV and thought they could flip it themselves. There was paint splattered all over the floors. There was one wall that was painted two different colors, red on one side green on the other, the toilet seat upstairs was an oval seat on a round toilet. There wasn’t even a toaster. I would not recommend this house unless you are just passing through.

Mold; Grimy; not ready to be rented
Our contact, Peter, was extremely responsive. This was a roof over our heads and has heat. The house was grimy - windows, blinds, TV screen, mirrors, stove top; bedroom & hall closets; and needs a good vacuuming. Floors are worn and have white paint splashes. Every dish, glass, and coffee mug we used had to be washed first. The kitchen sink is clogged and drains slowly. There is no dishwasher. The upstairs bathroom has mold in the bathtub, on the floor & the radiator is badly rust stained. The two rugs were dirty. There is no heat in one of the bedrooms due to the radiator being painted shut. The beds were tolerable and not comfortable. All of the mattress pads were dirty and stained. There is a huge water stain and mold in the ceiling of the downstairs bathroom with a bucket underneath. The shower also has mold in the ceiling area. There was no refund for cancellation. This is fine except we then received an email from Evolve with links to additional terms. This is not acceptable. No where in the VRBO listing is any disclosure of being subject to additional terms and conditions. We booked this place with no reviews as Evolve is shown as a Premier Host in the listing. As we were there for a family member funeral and were under duress; there was no refund of our payment; and we would have incurred significant cost for other last-minute bookings, we did not seek alternate lodging. We will not stay here again. Any other properties we see with Evolve will likewise be passed over.
