This welcoming bungalow situated on the village green, in the quiet and charming village of Briston is just 9 miles from the North Norfolk coast, is an ideal destination for couples, friends or small families looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating stay. Just 0.5 miles away you’ll find a pub that’s renowned for its fresh, seasonal food. Along with a family owned butchers/convenient store with locally sourced meats and produce. For added ease there is also a Co-op and post office all a 5 minute walk away. In the next-door village of Melton Constable, 1.5 miles, there are several takeaways to try. In 4 miles you can reach the Georgian village of Holt, home to art galleries, book stores, antiques shops and more, with a large variety of places to eat and drink. If a beach day takes your fancy, choose from Brancaster, Holkham, Wells-next-the-Sea, Sheringham, Cromer and Mundesley, all within easy reach. Alternatively, explore the National Trust’s Felbrigg Hall, 12.5 miles, or Blickling Estate, 8.5 miles, or hop on the Bure Valley Railway at the market town of Aylsham, 10 miles, for a steam along to Wroxham, known as the capital of the Broads, where you can also hire a boat for the day or rent kayaks and paddle boards.
This comfortable property is set out across one floor and offers a timeless and relaxing base from which to explore the endless delights of the area. After a day’s adventures, you’ll be ready to snuggle into the comfortable seating in the lounge, where there’s a wood burner set into a brick inglenook, creating a cosy feel whenever there’s a chill in the air. Lose yourself in a book or catch up on your favourite show on the Freeview TV which comes with an Amazon Firestick – this is an inviting space in which to relax and recharge. The compact kitchen is equipped with a range-style cooker and a microwave for convenience, and flows through to the airy dining room, where there’s further storage and doors to the courtyard. The pretty bedrooms have been decorated in soft tones for a calming ambience, and share a family bathroom.
A small courtyard at the back of the property is complemented by a larger, lawned garden at the front, sheltered from the road, and enclosed with a post-and-rail fence. With beautiful trees and mature planting, this is a lovely spot in which to sit out and enjoy the fresh air. A generous gravelled driveway allows space for three cars to park.
