The Space:

A Dam Good View by Tiny Away is located in North East Melbourne, nearby Hot Air Balloon Yarra Valley, Kinglake National Park, and Yarra Glen Market.



A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers).



Guest Access:

Guests will have access to the tiny house and its surrounding areas. Where guests are welcome to tour the farm area and visit animals after the land host has formally discussed the safety guidelines guests should follow.



Please note: The tiny house offers a private space for guests, with the main shed, neighbouring winery, and host’s residence located nearby. Guests may occasionally see or interact with the host or others on the property.



The Neighborhood:

A Dam Good View by Tiny Away is surrounded by many fantastic places to explore in Dixon Creek. Take a Hot Air Balloon Yarra Valley ride for stunning valley views, enjoy scenic walks in Kinglake National Park, or visit Mt Saint Leonard for bushwalking, hiking, rock climbing, biking, and more.



After a day of exploring, enjoy easy access to some of the Yarra Valley's best dining spots. The renowned Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and the cafés and restaurants of Yarra Glen are just a 5-minute drive away, while local favorites such as Seb's Place Pizza Restaurant, Dixons Creek Café Bar & Grill, and Yarra Glen Hotel are all nearby.



For wine lovers, Fin Creek Winery is just a 1-minute walk from the tiny house, with several other wineries located just down the road. If you're planning to cook, Yarra Glen Market and the local IGA offer a great selection of fresh produce, including vegan and vegetarian options.



Getting Around:

By Car: 1 hour drive from Melbourne



By Public Transport: There is an easy access to the train station 20 mins away in Lilydale and buses running along the Melba Hwy, which is a kilometer away from our property.



Other Things to Note:

- Mobile reception is good for Telstra

- Pets are not allowed on the property

- No smoking allowed on the property

- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed

- Outdoor firepit is available for guests to use

- Firewood comes at an extra cost of $20 per load

- Please be advised that we have free-roaming farm animals on our property

- Please do not enter animal paddocks or yards without the land host's permission

- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge.

- By purchasing firewood or breakfast, you're helping us care for our rescue animals—including donkeys, horses, sheep, chickens, and ducks. Thank you for supporting our self-funded rescue farm!



Important note:



- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property.

- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban.

- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the compost toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
