« Wonderful shukubo experience.
The temple and its garden are magical.
The traditional Japanese room was very comfortable and finely decorated.
The onsen was quite pleasant.
The meals very delicate and diverse.
The meditation and chanting ceremonies very moving.
Finally, the monks were very welcoming.
Great memories all-round. »

« One of the most unique properties we have ever stayed at. The room is a combination of old and new done exceedingly well. The property manager is outstanding. »

« Dinner can be provided. We had pizza and pasta and both were excellent. Host is very nice and gave us a nice introduction. Highly recommend this property. »

« Excellent onsen hotel right at the end of the first day of the Kohechi Kumano Kodo pilgrimage trail. I came for the onsen and mountain seclusion, but they had such good maps of the Kohechi at the front desk that I decided to walk back to Koyasan the day I checked out. Itâs about 20km through the mountains from Nosegawa Onsen to Koyasan, walking on a mix of well-kept trails and paved roads; overall, a moderately difficult hike with very good signage.
I highly recommend Kohechi hikers to stay at...

« Location is quite remote, no restaurants nearby that open after 8pm . The hotel provides BBQ service and have kitchen facilities inside cottage. The rock onsen is good but small. Very friendly people at front desk. »

"I returned to this hotel as my previous experience was satisfactory last year. Unfortunately this year I had a bad surprise. I couldnât sleep because regularly during the night young people passed close to the hotel with motorbikes making a lot of noise. The rooms are not isolated enough to prevent against that. The stuff told me that this happens regularly, especially during the weekend. I hope the hotel will ask the police to take measures against that. I chose this hotel close to the airport to have a quiet night before taking a very long flight. I could not have my quiet night. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this for those were seeking calm. I totally understand that the stuff, who is very nice, I was not responsible for this, but something should be done so that authorities cannot allow such regular noise to happen."
