With its excellent visitor centre, walking and cycling routes around the lake and great opportunities for water sports, it makes for a fabulous day out. Another of the town’s unique attractions is the National Stone Centre (1.4 miles), which offers activities such as gem-panning and fossil-casting. There is even a traditional steam railway, complete with Victorian station cafe. Bakewell, Ashbourne, Dovedale, Matlock Bath, Chatsworth, and Haddon Hall are all within 12 miles.

Take a few external steps from outside through the impressive front door into the kitchen. Pop on your complimentary slippers and wander through to the kitchen which offers everything you need to rustle up a good meal during your stay including an electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher. Sit at the breakfast bar and plan your days activities ahead or enjoy a celebration meal at the nearby dining table. Get comfy in the lounge in front of the Smart TV, enjoy some competitive fun on the retro arcade games machine, or just curl up with a good book. The sofa doubles up as a sofa bed which is perfect for the little ones. Head up the impressive spiral staircase to the mezzanine bedroom which offers a super-king-size bed which overlooks a beautiful chandelier and stylish complimenting furniture. Head through to the en-suite bathroom which offers a impressive jacuzzi bath with a shower over, along with his and hers sinks and WC.
