'This resort appears to be popular with families with little kids. We got a room with 2 beds and 2 futons so it was larger than the usual futon only rooms. It had a bathroom but no shower, with expectations that you would shower at the onsen. They had free parking which was nice. The breakfast was the best buffet breakfast of our trip with lots of items to choose from. '

'The one night stay at this Japanese onsen hotel was very pleasant. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious. Staff were very helpful and courteous. The hotel is only 20 minutes by bullet train from Kanazawa train station. Hotel provided free shuttle pick up from the Kaga Onsen train station. '

'Our room was spacious and very clean. The private onsen was large and very comfortable, looking out over the river but completely private. We had the kaiseki dinner each night which was elaborate and delicious. The town of Yamanaka is very pretty with fun row of shops specialising in lacquer wear and pottery, some cafes, the usual restaurants and a big public men's and women's bath, along with a beautiful walk in the gorge along the river. All of this is within 5-15 minutes walk of the hotel....
