Welcome to our dream home. 2 lakes for the price of 1. 3 level home with tons of space for 3 families. Sunrise on the deck, sunset on the beach. Kayaks, paddle boat/boards, float pad provided. Great fishing/swimming in Bar lake and long walks on Lake Michigan. Arcadia Bluffs, other great courses 10-20min, perfect for a golf outing! In winter 100's of miles of snowmobile trails, Crystal Mountain 25min.Casino 10min. Manistee Boardwalk w/restaurants/shops 5min, 2 new hotels to bring even more.

The house was so well stocked and clean. Very close to the big lake for beach play and swimming. Lots of "toys" to play with. Nice big yard. Two bedrooms on bottom floor, one on main floor and two on the top floor.

Beautiful home on Bar Lake, with a 3 minute walk to Lake Michigan beach. We are a family: Grandma, 3 adult daughters with partners, and.2 grands. The house was perfect for us! It is very spacious tastefully decorated and filled with amenities that we took full advantage of: kayaks paddle board, hot tub, beautiful decks and outdoor seating, a large lawn where we set up our soccer nets, ping pong table, foosball table, puzzles and games a stocked pantry plenty of towels- both bath and beach, and plenty of space for all to.spread out and enjoy! We also enjoyed the area with lots of gikes and bea h fun:)

Great lake house for a small group

We stayed at the lake house for a weekend in July and it was perfect. The house was clean with lots of sleeping beds and plenty of space for a small group. You can walk to lake michigan or paddle board/kayak on Bar lake right out the back door. Everything was excellent and we would stay there again.

This is an amazing house! It is in a great location, and it offers so much for families who want to get away from it all! Lake Michigan is literally across the street, and there is a small lake behind the house that offers fishing and other water activities just outside the back door. The house is very well kept, and we had great communication with the owner. We will definitely be back again!

Fabulous

There is an amazing view from every room in the house. It’s a short walk to Bar Lake beach and a very short drive to the beach on Lake Michigan. Kitchen is extremely well stocked and it was awesome to cook on the gas grill and dine on the deck, while taking in the view of the lake. We had 23 people there for several dinners and everyone was comfortable. Highly recommend this stunning property.

Exceptional experience

Overall fantastic stay, spent a week with family.House was very well equipped, clean, comfortable with recreation spaces and bedrooms for 5 adults to have their own space. Lake view even better than the pics give credit to. And Lake Michigan beach a 2 minute walk down the road.Enjoyed the kayaking, ping pong, fire pit, and day trips to dunes, Ludington, and Traverse City.Super easy check in and host was very helpful / responsive.Highly recommend!!!

Massive beautiful home on Bar Lake and steps to Lake Michigan

Stayed for a family get together and did some snowboarding and skiing at Crystal and lots of hanging out at this beautiful house. Fishing, hot tub and beautiful views of the lake from the family room.

Great Location

We had 3 days of salmon fishing scheduled on a chartered boat in Manistee, MI and wanted a house that could sleep at least 10 and was close to the boat. This house fit both needs. The house was only 10 minutes from the boat Manistee and easily slept our gang. As the house was also on a lake and just across the street from Lake Michigan, it gave those who were not salmon fishing something else to do.

Best rental we've ever had

The house was extremely nice, spacious, and had much of what we needed. Not too much as far as clean up at the end which we appreciated. Just a short walk from the beach and the entire back yard was wonderful for the kids. We would definitely come back here again!

50th Anniversary Celebration

It was our second time staying at this lovely home, but this time our kids & grandkids joined us! This house is so comfortable & the location beside 2 lakes is very special!! 2nd visit was just as good as the first!

We had an incredible week at the Bar Lake/Lake Michigan house! This was our second stay at this property and the house and hosts did not disappoint! This is truly the best of both worlds in the lake house experience. We so appreciate the Platt’s for making this property available and affordable. Can’t wait for next year!!

The Best Place I've Rented, EVER!

This is a lovely property. Not only are the views awesome but this place is comfortable. It was clean and well stocked. The owners made sure there were plenty of toiletries and kitchen/laundry supplies. I was very impressed and I am a very picky person.

Property is exactly as described. Communication was accurate and very timely. Plenty of space to spread out. Fire pit along the lake was very private. Spent some time fishing for panfish off the dock. Lake Michigan beach area just down the road. Kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need. Close to town yet private and quiet.

Fantastic home with wonderful water views

This was a lovely home with a beautiful sunrise lake view out the back and a short walk across the street to Lake Michigan with a sandy beach and sunset views. We enjoyed the kayaks. The home was beautiful inside and out with plenty of space. We would highly recommend. 10 out of 10!

Beautiful vacation home !

Enjoyed the home and the location ! Perfect for our family of 9, spacious, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub, kayaks and fire pit. The kitchen had all of the necessities for our cooking needs. We hope to book this property again in the future.

Spring trip in Manistee

We had 3 families that traveled together of all ages that checked in from Sunday afternoon to Wednesday morning. We had gotten there about thirty minutes early and was able to meet the owners as they were finishing things up for our arrival. They were very welcoming and showed us around the area On their property as well as across the street with telling us about the access to get to lake Michigan. They were very friendly and made us feel at home. The kids had a great time fishing, playing in the sand and jumping the waves and picking up rocks along the shoreline.The bonfire down by the lake was perfect. The owners hospitality of having a few stapled items and pastries for us was very sweet and appreciated. The home was so welcoming and just perfect for our family for a couples of days to get away. We are already talking about coming back again next year.

5 Star Manistee Lake House

What an incredible property! We stayed for 7 days with our 3 adult children, their spouses and grandkids. 7 adults and 4 children all together. There was so much room with the multiple living spaces inside and out, that we actually still liked each other when the week was over. We used the Kayaks, paddle boat and paddle board daily. Spent mornings in the hot tub watching the sunrise over Bar Lake. We swam in Lake Michigan and watched sunsets across the street. The views from the Great Room are awesome! The owners have thought of everything here and are quick to respond to questions. We can’t wait to come back next year!

Two Lakes Gem

We LOVED our stay! The home was perfect for our two family group. The homeowner is incredible, kind, and willing to assist in any way. Not to give away our secret, but if you’re looking for a snowy getaway this is the place! You’re across the street from Lake Michigan via an accessible path and have panoramic views of an inland lake the in the back. A dip in the hot tub while snow is falling is magical. We played games by the fire and even braved a trip into town to check out the cute shops. The house is large enough for a big group but still maintains a cozy feel. The house is stocked with towels, shampoo, a fully equipped kitchen, and a grill. The bunk bed room is small with no window, but had the most comfortable mattresses and honestly made for a perfect sleeping environment. With all of the negativity that can happen with rentals this one is a rare gem that will make you want to keep coming back thanks to the thoughtfulness of the owners!
