Enjoy watching the Big Lake from the deck. With plenty of windows, the natural light in this home is as bountiful as the interior space. You will enjoy a spacious kitchen, two decks, two dining rooms, and sleeping arrangements on three floors. High speed Wi-Fi access. Steps to our private beach completed this summer. AC is a split unit on the main floor only.

Wonderful home with a stunning bluff view of Lake Michigan! The large house with the well stocked kitchen and many amenities make it very accommodating. The deck off of the back has a gorgeous view and it is gated so small children can play safely while adults enjoy the perfect Lake Michigan sunsets. The campfire spot is very picturesque overlooking the lake. There is plenty of sleeping room and hang out space throughout the house. We loved it and will definitely return! Highly recommend!!!

This was a wonderful place for our family to get away. We really enjoyed the location- it was quiet with amazing views. We enjoyed the evening sunsets, and utilized the beach and the rock hunting opportunities. Prepare yourself for some steps! While it’s absolutely worth the trips up and down, it’s a good workout to get back up from the water- especially toting a toddler. We had a 1 1/2 year old with us, and she thoroughly enjoyed the beach as well. Only thing to note with toddlers in the house, is the amount of steps in the house as well- however, the owners do provide a baby gate which was thoughtful. The house is spacious and comfortably slept everyone we had. It’s a short trip into Manistee, and a 30(ish) minute drive to Ludington that goes by quick with cute back roads. We would definitely book this house again.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it’s necessary to be honest for future guests. Unfortunately, our experience at this beach house was overall below expectations. We did love the beach, view and large space! The house was not clean when we arrived. This was disruptive to our vacation. The property manager was friendly, responsive and quick to get someone out to clean and we appreciate that! The house had a musty smell throughout, and it was clear that general maintenance and overall cleanliness were not a priority. The front door lock did not work, which raised security concerns. Many of the windows and a main doorwall wouldn’t open all the way – some not at all – which is especially frustrating for a beach house where fresh air and ventilation should be a given. It was very diappointing to have a musty smell and lack of airflow. Additionally, the yard was cluttered with old wood and debris, which made the outdoor space feel uninviting and neglected.Overall, this property has a lot of potential due to its location, spacious size and beautiful view with private beach!! But it’s in serious need of a deep clean, repairs, and regular upkeep. I hope the owner takes this feedback seriously to improve the experience for guests!

This property worked out great for us. It was close to the 3 golf courses we played during our stay and provided the perfect view to relax with a cold one after the rounds. Plenty of room for 9 old college buddies to hangout and reminisce in the house, out on the deck, or around the fire pit. Would do it again!

Everything was wonderful except the grill needed a good scrubbing, the brush to clean the grill was awful! The construction next door started too early, 8:30 but we were gone most of the day so our evenings were very nice! The kitchen was stocked and labeled nicely! The view was spectacular! The family staying there with us were from Berlin, Germany and they really enjoyed our stay!

Plenty of space indoors and out for our extended family. Beautiful view from the deck and enough seating to eat on the deck or go inside if it’s raining. The upstairs bedrooms were uncomfortably hot for a couple of days/nights, but the overall experience compensating for that. The beach was great for rock-hunting, lazing back with a book and/or watching for eagles (which we saw every day). We’re looking forward to returning next year!

We had a great time in this Manistee home on Lake Michigan. The sunset and lake views were gorgeous, the beach access was excellent, and the quiet neighborhood was welcoming. This home is under new management, and they are well on their way to making the necessary changes and fixes to get the house up to a five-star rating.

Family vacation

Every year we head up to Manistee for a Fourth of July family vacation. This year we decided to stay farther out of town than normal. The place was wonderful and isolated and offered a completely different vibe than staying in or near the city.

Our stay was wonderful! The steps to beach (89) are in great shape and my family loved the fact that they could go any time they chose! The beach was completely private and it was great having it all to ourselves. We arrived in 95 degree humid weather and were concerned since only the first floor is air conditioned but with fans and the evening cooler temperatures made sleeping no problem. The kitchen was spacious and pretty well-stocked. All 3 bathrooms were nice. We spent a lot of time on the deck and the view of Lake Michigan is great!

Fantasic family vacation house

Our family had a great time at this home. The hosts, Mike and Tammy were great with communications and went above and beyond in helping us with a couple of items we forgot when we left. I would highly recommend this house for a large family with kids. The beds were very comfortable and there was a lot of space for everyone to find their own place when we were all there.The view of Lake Michigan was fabulous. Beautiful sunsets and a lovely beach for the kids to play at. Highly recommend this place for your Manistee vacation needs.
