The hotel has a great location in the center with all the main attractions of the city within walking distance. Besides the location we choose this hotel, because it seemed very authentic and pretty on the pictures and it certainly looks just as nice in real. Everything seems very well maintained without loosing the historic feel of the building. Also the view over the city from the tooftop is amazing.
The room itself is not so big, but what is the room is all very nice, good quality, clever and functional. We especially enjoyed the very nice rotating shower.
For a pretty hotel on a location like this often the weak point is the staff, but actually for hotel Basilica this turns out to be their real biggest strength. Every person on the team is very friendly and makes it feel personal. Like the man running the breakfast who not only checks your roomnumber, but gives you a full tour when he sees it is your first day. Especially we would like to make a positive comment about the receptionist Marcela. Never have we met a receptionist before who seemed so kind, enthusiastic, and with a personal approach, who even came to ask how we are doing when she saw us during breakfast.
All together the hotel was a great experience and is certainly recommended for people who like to explore the center of the city Palma.
