Eten was okay Minder is dat je extra moet betalen voor roomservice. Bar was dicht op 1e kerstdag en konden dus niks te drinken krijgen. Roomservice niet beschikbaar op 2e kerstdag. Vloer bij het zwembad de hele week niet gereinigd geweest de pleisters en andere troep lagen eral op de maandag en vrijdags toen weggingen lag het er nog. Kleedruimtes echt verouderd en de vloeraanhechting bij de muur lieten allemaal los. Kamer werd schoongemaakt met de franse slag en onder de bedden was zeker in weken niet gebeurd. Badkamer kwam geen schoonmaakmiddel aan te pas laat staan met een doekje alles afnemen Geen lift beschikbaar om bij onze kamer te komen en we zaten op de 2e etage. Dus meerdere malen per dag met de jongste op de arm en de buggy onder de andere arm de trappen op.

Prima hotel vlak langs de weg.
We waren onderweg van Nederland naar Noord Engeland. Dit hotel lag prima op de route. Langs de weg, goede voorzieningen, en erg netjes.

Leedse Kasteel en de eekhoorns
Was een 1-nacht op weg naar de Eurotunnel in Folkstone, is dan nog 20 minuten rijden. Daarvoor is de ligging perfect. Heel sjiek hotel en op wandelafstand (10min) ligt het fantastisch domein van het Kasteel van Leeds dewelke open is om een avondwandeling te maken (Kasteel zelf enkel open tijden normale dag-uren. Hier zie je nog de echte engelse stijl waar de tuinen er als "gelekt" bijliggen. Voor de eekhoornliefhebbers ook een top lokatie. Om het nu terug over het hotel te hebben; vlotte service bij avonodmaal en lekker eten, uitstekend ontbijtbuffet. Mocht ik toch iets als negatief hebben ervaren, dan is de het lawaai van het verkeer van de autoweg die niet te verwaarlozen is, maar dewelke mijn nachtrust niet heeft verstoord. Goeie Wifi.

Goed verblijf gehad ,prima bed eindelijk lang genoeg matras. Ontbijt buffet was prima met voldoende aanbod. Top personeel, heel gastvrij. Zwembad prima, alleen houden ze niet van geluid kennelijk ook teveel regels voor gebruik ( niet springen/duiken/spetteren) kennelijk alleen baantjes zwemmen. Ligging is goed centraal voor Londen/dover

Was altijd een leuk hotel, maar nu niet meer
Verkeerde zuinigheid besparen op de kleine dingen die het verschil maken. Ontbijt was altijd goed. Op zondag stond het bordje vegetarische worstjes bij de gewone worstjes nou zo smakten ze ook. Goedkope jus, jam geen kaas, ham. Op maandag weinig gasten de de services was belabberd alles was uitgedroogd, croissants en zo In de yoghurt met berries zat bruine banaan wist niet dat een banaan een berrie was ook al begint het met een b. Het personeel in het restaurant was duidelijk meer met zichzelf bezig wat een sacherijnig geklets die met het jasje aan.

The hotel was great, the room was large with a great view of the grounds and lake, even had a hot air balloon experience taking off from the grounds which was brilliant to see, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options and was good quality, nice bar area including outdoor seating. hotel was in a great location with leeds castle very close by and multiple country pubs within a 10 minute drive

My partner and i stayed here for bank holiday weekend. Where i did a surprise proposal to her, the staff were a great help in setting this up for me and recording it. Every member of staff were so friendly and helpfull. We also ate breakfast twice and dinner here once. Food was great all very tasty and reasonably priced.

When we arrived and were heading to bed after long journey found Bed linen was dirty with stains, blood , human hair, grit and rips. Manager came and replaced covers whilst we waited I our pyjamas. Whole process took over 1hr. Carpets filthy requested it be hoovered next day as cud not be moved as other room available was on side of building without lift which was not possible with my disability. Hotel is not disabled friendly. Majority of rooms I was told have bath showers so again not disabled friendly. Food was not good. On the positive side. Staff are really nice and friendly

We had a lovely stay this weekend staff were excellent especially the young girl that served us at dinner , reception staff very friendly and helpful . Two day getaway
We had a lovely 2 day getaway between Christmas and New year which was really good. The staff were amazing, the bed was a king size, very clean and spacious room. We also used the pool and spar which topped the visit off feeling refreshed for the new year.

Horrible experience. A party well organised in two rooms near me until 3:00 am. People on drugs and drunk trying to open my door. I had to call reception at 2:30 to complain about the noise and people opening doors during the whole night and standing in the corridors with drinks. I am surprised they allow doing this. They should be more vigilant. The hotel is very old style and obsolet. Bath should be refurbished and please remove the bath courtains which have been there for generations.

The hotel was over rated and appeared very tired. Decor was poor. Half the wall pictures missing with holes in the walls. Furniture in hallways dirty and worn as were the carpets. We had asked if the hotel had a lift as my wife has bad hips. Yes there was a lift but only once you negotiate a series of stairs. A bit pointless really. Bedside lights fizzed when switched on which was a bit dangerous really. Beds were on wheels and moved when trying to get on them. Only one chair in room which was also stained. Tried to call reception on room phone three times but simply rang and rang until it rang off. Cleaners in the morning very loud shouting down corridors at each other. When checking out not even asked how my stay was so I suspect reception staff had an idea. Wouldn’t stay here again unfortunately.

2 night stay for work.
Booked the Great Danes as I would not be arriving until late on a Sunday and knew that their reception would be manned. The hotel is being refurbed at the moment so there was some inconvenience getting to my room. Once in the room, which was quiet, facing the rear carpark, there was the usual: TV, Kettle, Tea, Coffee, glasses, ample bathroom and a large bed - a bit too firm for me. The hotel location is excellent for my office which is 10 mins away. Carpark is large and no issue finding a parking spot. Staff were very friendly, as always. Food in the hotel was OK. I had Fish and Chips, which were cooked very well and tasted good.

I genuinely believe this must have been a great hotel at some point but certainly not that anymore. Other than the roof over our heads and the lovely lady at reception who checked us in I have nothing positive to say about my stay. The hotel looks very dated and worn, paint literally coming off walls. Was told our room was on the second floor..but no lifts ,we had to haul heavy suitcases with 2 little children up to the second floor and same way back on check in. The room looked like something from 200 years ago. We found a used tampon in the toilet bin !!! At this point I just wanted to leave . There was a TV in the room , that's about all I can say. Our only view was a disgusting wall , roof top and rusted emergency stairwell. Hardly slept as the folks in the adjoining room decided to jump up and down all night screaming and playing. Thought we'd go for a swim, water was freezing cold , again another disappointment. Other guest complained too. Definitely a waste of money. I blame myself for not looking at reviews in advance as I took the brand name at face value

Great one night stay
My young son and I stayed here for one night before my wedding so didn’t see much of the hotel. But what we did see was a very helpful receptionist, a clean comfortable room and a decent breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel served a purpose as meeting family but very tired but clean however there was a housemaids trolley left out with dirty towels etc in corridor, but there was works going on , breakfast ok , but think it needs a really good makeover,

Room doors need sorting......grrr
The room doors need slow closures or something to stop them constantly banging when residents go in and out of their rooms. This can be a simple fix and one that would, at the moment, stop us staying again until it has been sorted !!
