Positief: Netheid, personeel en service, voorzieningen en staat van de accommodatie en faciliteiten
Our stay itself was nice and the staff was kind, but we had a serious issue with accessibility and safety that we feel should be mentioned.
The property is located at the top of a very steep street, and during our stay it was completely iced over. We tried to drive up but only made it about two-thirds of the way before the car started sliding backwards. It was pretty scary. My partner went inside to ask for help and the staff responded quickly, which we appreciated, but we had to leave our car parked on the side of the street overnight.
As an apology, we were given a bottle of wine, which was thoughtful. We were also told that the hill would be salted the next morning so there wouldn’t be any further issues. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. When we left after 9 a.m., the street was still icy and we both slipped while walking down the hill.
We debated whether to leave a review, but ultimately felt it was important to share this. While we were okay, it’s concerning to think that an older guest or someone with mobility issues could easily get hurt in these conditions. We hope the property takes this seriously and improves winter safety going forward.
