Magheralagan Lake

This hotel is in the perfect location to be in the center of everything. Walk everywhere, enjoy the pubs, it’s great. It is located above one of the busiest pubs in town, so if you go to bed early (music ends between 12-1 each night), it might not be the best fit. In the morning, the truck comes to deliver kegs about 8, so if you want to sleep later bring ear plugs. Room was generally clean, comfortable, and modern. My only big issue was the temperature. It was not at all hot outside (I don’t think it was ever over 21 or 22 degrees C) but my room was hot (probably about 25 or 26 degrees C) and damp all the time. I’m sensitive to mold and everything smelled and felt mildewy. The towels and sheets were damp and warm and triggered allergies. There was a climate controller in the room that had an A/C button but it didn’t do anything. There was also a “fan” feature that didn’t do anything. I tried every setting to try to cool and dehumidify my room and left my windows wide open as much as I could, but my room was always significantly warmer than the hallway (probably 2-3 degrees C) which was significantly warmer than outside (again 3-5 degrees C in the middle of July). If you sleep warm or are sensitive to mold/mildew this might not be the best fit.

Handy location, clean and comfortable beds. Good value apartment

The Ulsterville Residences is conveniently located within walking distance to Queen's University and the shopping malls. The 2-bedroom apartment is bright and airy, well-appointed with quality furniture and kitchen appliances. We very much enjoyed our stay and plan to stay there again next year.
