  • Our home is located right on the Straits of Mackinac. With scenic views of Mackinac Island, the Mackinac Bridge and the freighters passing, it is the most relaxing getaway. We are located just over a mile away from one of the ferry lines that take you to Mackinac Island and walking distance from the Lumber Jack show. We are right on the water so you have your own beach. The house also come with free access to a local waterpark and discounts to local restaurants.

Beautiful view of the Mackinaw Bridge and of Mackinaw Island!!! The place could use some updating but we were more than fine with it. We stayed there for the view and it was 10/10.

Lock wouldn’t work. Smoke detectors beeping. Porch was dusty and not lockable. Grass uncut. Very disappointed! it was not up to the quality of VRBO rentals and we have done many.

The property was great! The only downside was the covered patio didn't have proper screens to be able to open the doors. Great views, well stocked with towels/linens/blankets. Plenty of fridge space!

The view of Mackinac Bridge was amazing and the location was very secluded and close to Mackinac City. The property and home itself could have been cleaned better. The sunroom off the back of the house was very dusty and covered in webs. The pull out couch linens had not been changed from previous guests as there were crumbs on the sheets.

We booked this rental last minute and it did not disappoint. It was a rather hot day and the place doesn’t have AC but we opened the windows and that cooled the place down. We had a great visit but would have liked to have working screen doors on the sun room to get a good breeze from the lake. Also, the powder room door does not close as the washing machine prevents it.

The location of the property was wonderful with its view of the Mackinac Bridge and the Strait. The property was very clean and it was a restful cabin, with an inviting screened in porch. Plenty of towels. Kitchen had necessities, even coffee for brewing. Didn’t use firepit as grass was tall & hadn’t brought wood. Lovely sunrise!

We enjoyed our stay overall. The house was very clean, the views of the water were beautiful, and the location was excellent—close to many attractions while still feeling peaceful. The bedrooms were comfortable.That said, the home is in need of some updates. The lack of ceiling fans in the living room and dining room made the afternoons and evenings quite warm, with very little air circulation. The living room couch appears to be very old and was uncomfortable to sit/sleep on. The sunroom could also use some attention, as several window screens were broken and leaked rain even with doors closed. The landscaping would benefit from weeding and general maintenance as well.With a few upgrades and some routine maintenance, this could be an outstanding vacation rental because the location and views are truly hard to beat.

Clean. Beautiful location with Lake Michigan out the back door. The temp went down to 32 and we messaged the host around 6 in the afternoon to ask about heat as we had none working. We never got a response so was very cold at night. There were also no fire alarms.

Not clean at all. Bathroom door doesn't close all the way because the washer is in the way. Week old garbage in the can. Dog poop everywhere in the backyard. Garage door doesn't close or lock (the way into the house). The sun porch doors cant be opened because the screen doors are jammed or aren't even the right size. Bugs and spider covering the screens. Feces in 2nd bathroom on wall by toilet. Just don't sray here. Never got check in info until I messaged the host. And dont be 5 minutes early or she'll blame the cleanliness on you being early - we got there 5 mins early. The saddest part is she wasn't even apologetic about the spaces condition.
