Luxury Seashell Cottage Central Milford on Sea New Forest and 5 mins to beach

Seashell Cottage is a modern, cosy two bedroom holiday cottage, situated in a Small Mews development; one of six in the heart of Milford on Sea. (07840 487998) Originally Milford on Seas Cottage hospital and subsequent to that the village telephone exchange. This delightful holiday home has been refurbished to a high standard and ideal for couples or families .( we only accept children over 2 yrs out of a cot )

There is entrance to drive off the high street leading to a private entrance. Directly off hallway is the lounge; a feature fireplace, oak mantel and scaffold board detailing combined with large widescreen TV inclusive with DVD player amazon fire stick access to Netflix , fibre broadband WiFi , as well as comfortable and homely seating two double sofas . Sliding patio doors lead to the self contained pretty courtyard garden with picnic table for Al Fresco Dining and new for 2024 rattan lounge set. The hallway leads to a fully equipped kitchen / diner. Stairs lead to a first floor landing, off which includes a tastefully refurbished bathroom and two bedrooms 1 x king and 1 x superking bed ; comfortably sleeping 4 people

Milford on Sea is a popular and quaint seaside village with a superb range of independent shops, and pubs which are open all year round. There are several restaurants catering for all culinary tastes, including Italian,Indian, Thai and traditional food. Award winning Verviene fish market restaurant offers fine dining and we would recommend booking in advance. Walking out of the cottage and round to the High street is the newly refurbished Saltwater Cafe .Additionally a few paces further into the village, there is the award winning Smugglers Inn, The Cave ,Hurst on the Hill and Rays Italian to mention just a few. There are various events held on the village green and these prove extremely popular.
Milford on Sea boasts a fabulous stone and sand beach just a 5 minutes walk from the property, with spectacular views across the Solent including panoramic views of The Needles, Isle of Wight and Christchurch Bay. Take picturesque walks towards Hordle Cliff, Keyhaven and Hurst Castle or just relax and enjoy the beach and a summer swim. A further 10 minutes walk leads to the stunning Keyhaven and nature reserve, including a idyllic bridge for children to go crabbing and fishing.
Further take a 10 minute drive into the New Forest National Park and enjoy a range of stunning walks, cycle rides or horse riding whilst exploring the pretty villages of Brockenhurst, Burley, Beaulieu, Sway and Lyndhurst. Lymington; the main town including high street shops and our beautiful Quay and marina is well worth a visit .
There is also kayak and bike hire in the village

In addition we provide a New Forest Parking Clock allowing free parking in car parks during your stay .

A fantastic 2 bed property

Really clean, tidy, well equipped property. We only stayed 2 nights and weren't in the property for long but it was perfect for our base in the New Forest. Milton is very well equipped with some excellent restaurants. We ate at Rays and The Cave and both were 10/10 with a warm and friendly welcome. Not so the Lazy Lion where the service was so bad we left after 5 mins. Overall, would thoroughly recommend this holiday cottage

Fabulous property in great location

We loved our stay at Seashell Cottage. Communication with Karen and Neil was excellent. The cottage was immaculate and had everything we needed for our stay. The town had plenty of places to eat and drink and all within 15 minutes walk. Our favourite was the Lighthouse café on the sea front. Couldn't fault this property, would definitely recommend.

Great cottage in a lovely town

The cottage in in the middle of Milford on Sea and easily accessible to the shops and restaurants. The car park is tight to get into especially if you have a large car. The cottage itself is exceptionally clean and well cared for -and we are fussy! The sofas and beds are good quality and very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could possibly need. There is a small garden for relaxing in. Karen was always on hand and very helpful. a perfect host.

A lovely stay in a 5 star cottage

Thank you Karen, we’ve had a wonderful time in your immaculate cottage. Our little one doesn’t want to go home! The allocation of the property is great for walking into Milford on Sea and the beach. It’s also good for accessing the surrounding towns that are beautiful too. Easy access to Peppa Pig a world too. We highly recommend the property and we’re already thinking about next year!

Fantastic few days away

We (two adults & two children aged 2 and 4) decided to get away for a few days during the October half term. With the New Forest and the beach on your doorstep, we were so pleased to find this beautiful little house to stay in. Karen, the owner, was fantastic in providing lots of ideas of where to visit during our few days away, and the accommodation was beautifully furnished, tastefully decorated, comfortable and extremely homely. So much so, we had two very upset children when the time came to leave. The house was equipped with everything we could have wanted which just made our few days away so much easier with the kids. We will definitely be looking to return in the future to do and visit the many things we simply didn’t have time to do this time round. Thank you so much!

A beautifully presented cottage in a quiet mews just off the High Street. Delightful little garden. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable beds and the owner has provided everything needed for a relaxing break. The welcome pack was a treat. Highly recommended.

IDEAL HOME FROM HOME

The property was modern, clean, well stocked and a pure joy to stay in. The attention to detail by the owners was the best we have ever experienced. The village of Milford on Sea is an English treasure. Welcoming people, wonderful restaurants and easy access to the whole of the New Forest. We cannot recommend this place more highly.
