'We enjoyed the Bologna house. It was high up on the hill and could only get there by taxi or bus. Very seldom were we able to find an available taxi and the bus just drove past where we stayed. When we called the property manager and said we were having trouble getting rides, he hung up on us. Property was nice but not a place I would return to.'

'Of the six hotels that we have stayed in on this trip, this hotel was by far the most expensive per night and by far the biggest disappointment. Service was on pm par with star hotel. Our room had a lot of gnats in the bathroom. They were flying all over the mirror and into the soap. They were many of them in the sink. The shower floor had loose tiles and water was seeping up from underneath it. There were puddles in the bathroom during the night. Not sure where they came from, but probably...

'The pool lounger system is the one major flaw here, and it needs fixing. Guests go out around breakfast, leave belongings on loungers, and effectively reserve them for the entire day - often while the loungers sit empty for hours. At peak times, this creates long queues, and you can expect to wait 1-2+ hours for a lounger (even though many sit empty) simply because others are hoarding spots. Management needs to enforce a clear time limit for unattended loungers and stop guests from “saving”...

'The room was a disaster; worn down bed, bathroom dirty, mold in the shower, etc … The girl at the reception was friendly and took the time to explain the neighborhood. But else the stay was not worth its money. The pictures on hotels.com are from a few years ago and do not show the current state of the room(s). Try to avoid this place if possible.'

'The Agriturismo Il Colle in Bellagio is a gem. The advantage of having parking can not be over emphasized. That is outstanding. It does require a short walk into the town center, but that is not too bad and the parking is totally worth it. The self wine dispenser is a lovely service. The setting is beautiful and it is wonderful to have a glass of wine and admire the lake and mountains. I would certainly stay there again.'

'The property would have been great only if they picked up our luggage from the bus port. It is high up in the mountain, very difficult to drag your luggage. Not enough warning provided as to how difficult it would be to take your baggage. No taxi, no pick up, I saw other guests who almost cried, dragging their luggage up to the hotel often on narrow oncoming traffic.'
