'First let me clarify that this was my first stay at Veranda Cottages and I did love the resort. The friendly staff, beach access, the large swimming pool area and the nightly activities were very nice. However, at this price point, I expected more. 'My teenage son and I stayed for 4 nights for his14th birthday, bc he loves to fish. It did not disappoint! The location was spectacularly gorgeous. 'This is a very cute and functional lakeside cottage. We were there around New Years so the lake was frozen solid. Great vistas across the lake. The bed was comfy and the kitchen well stocked. Climate control worked great and we learned that too much heat downstairs could cause hot sleeping conditions upstairs, but we figured that out.
