'Absolutely terrible cottages you can't get any more basic. Overlooking a concrete car park even though I paid for Garden view. Refused to stay in them and made them change me to the hotel which was OK. The site is very shabby and derelict. But hotel is modern. Nothing to do for children. Wouldn't stay again.'

'Room was very clean as was the bathroom. It had everything you needed and it was all clearly labelled. Kingsize bed was really comfy. Curtains were blackout so no light got through. Situated in a lovely quiet area so there was no noise throughout the night. Throughly enjoyed the room. Had no issues are complaints. '

'Our sleep was affected due to a group of other guests making noise during the night. Also the mattress on our bed was really hard so not very comfortable. Other than these issues the hotel is good for a short stop, staff are friendly, it’s next to motorway services so you can get food from outlets.'

'Fabulous property with very helpful staff. Ran the local Parkrun and missed breakfast time but was made some fantastic bacon sandwiches when we both returned to the guest house. Staff was very accommodating which made the visit very enjoyable.'

'Rooms were quiet as accommodation is at the back of the site with woodland behind. There is plenty of parking right outside. Decor is old and tired and it needs a facelift. Breakfast was ok, cooked options were fine and bread and pastries good but fruit and yogurt options very limited. Probably would choose somewhere else to stay if in the area again.'

'I have stayed a villa many times, unfortunately this visit was disappointing, I arrived after paying 129.96 for 1 night which included breakfast..only to be told that I would have to pay another 10 pound for a cooked breakfast..I was told that I had payed for only a continental breakfast, this certainly didn't state this on my booking form, I was looking forward to quiet afternoon which didn't happen due to all the building work going on, then dinner well the menu wasn't what it used to be, so...

'Goede Inn waar je ook goed kan eten. Als je een kamer aan de 'voorkant' hebt is het best een drukke lawaaierige baan.'

'We really enjoyed our stay although we didn't meet the owners we spoke to them on the phone and they were very friendly and welcoming we could not get the channels on the tv to work but that was probably us. We would stay again if we were up in Preston.'

'Location of property worked well for purpose. Staff were good. Rooms very warm, unlike the shower, stayed 3 nights, only on one occasion was the water hot, guessing the staff knew of this, when we mentioned at check out. Greene King pub next door, ok for a pint and pub food. Would recommend "Ye Olde Hob Inn" for a drink, great atmosphere and even better hosts.'
