'Thoroughly recommended'

'Lovely stay. Helpful and polite staff. Good food excellent choice. Breakfast amazing. They even give you a packed lunch everyday. Room cosy and clean..will return.'

'Alles was goed. Alleen het ontbijt was twee of drie keer nogal chaotisch geregeld. '

'Very disappointing. Room was cold and tv not working. Left voicemail for contact twice but received no response. Had to put spare duvet on top of bed. The fact that this spare duvet was in the wardrobe perhaps indicates that the lack of heat is a continuing problem. Internet was intermittent and difficult to get. Towels very hard - suggest you take your own.'

'Lovely hotel, lovely staff all keen to help. However guests need to be aware before booking that since the take over by Champneys, the hotel is now charging extra for use of the spa facilities . This unfortunately lets the place down. Why would you stay at a spa hotel if you cant use the pool? The fact that this is not advertised openly in their web site can be distressing for the unsuspecting traveller. I saw this in action when a guest only found this out when, dressed in his gown ...

'Lovely room, perfect for relaxing after a day out walking. Chosen because it was dog friendly and it did not disappoint - good for walking into town and loved that there was a map showing us how to get there by avoiding the main road. Breakfasts were delicious! Thank you for our stay.'

'Amazing place. Highly suggest staying here.'

'Perfect in every way.'

'Beautiful apartment in the old barn, with a lovely wood burning fireplace and views of lambs frolicking in the field opposite. Great choice of breakfast options and friendly staff. A great place for a weekend getaway!'

'Will not be returning, staff not helpful at all, dog friendly but couldn’t even let the dog have a sausage at breakfast as they had ran out, they had also ran out of biscuits for the room, garden peas and orange juice. Not a cheap nights stay so these things should not be running out!! Best staff were the morning we were leaving, had they had been on all weekend it would have made it a more pleasant stay'

'Kind friendly and hospital hosts Great suggestions for walking in beautiful countryside'

'Great stay, kids pool was good quite quiet in the morning which was nice for the baby! All clean and great service.'
