Een 4-sterren hotel is in Engeland toch niet wat wij van het continent gewend zijn. Je moet daar niet te veel van verwachten. Mijn kamer was in het souterrain, het raam keek uit naar een trap met afvalzakken. De kamer was tevens heel klein (twee-persoonskamer was meer een-persoons met een twijfelaar-bed). De lift was klein en heel traag. Positief was een uitstekende ligging, vriendelijk personeel, keurige kamerservice, roomservice, complimentary spa-blauw, koffie&thee met koekjes en appels, koelkast (niet echt koud wel), sterke douche met shampoo en douchegel en veel handdoeken. De wastafel-hoek was te smal, opmaken dan maar in de kamer. Algemeen wel blij met het hotel, goed geslapen, het was rustig en top schoon (het restaurant zat ook in het souterrain, maar geen last van gehad). Ontbijt heb ik niet genomen, ga liever in de stad een tentje opzoeken.

Uiterlijke schijn bedriegt
De plaatjes zien er aardig uit maar de kamer is verouderd en aan onderhoud toe. De douche in de badkamer is niet toegangkelijk als je maar iets slechter ter been bent. Je kan je nergens vasthouden en het bad is heel glad. De manager gaf aan om een anti-slib badmat te plaatsen maar die is er niet gekomen. De locatie van het hotel is goed: 200 meter van Paddington station. ik raad dit hotel niet aan bij andere mensen en ga er zelf niet meer naar toe.

Locatie was prima, dichtbij de mooiste parken van Londen. Het hotel zelf voelde niet als vier-sterren. Ontbijt pover, bedden zacht en klein, bar niet gezellig en zonder gasten.

Location, location, location! Stuff is friendly and accommodating. Safe and quiet neighborhood. Only concern was the size of the room. In case you are an over 6 feet couple, you might consider another option. No space for baggage in the room, we had to keep our stuff on the bed. Relatively, small bed for two tall people. Ok, for overnight but not for a long stay.

The property was convenient for Paddington station and local restaurants. The staff were excellent. The hotel room was small enough but the bathroom, at a total length of 5ft 6" and narrow enough to bang ones elbows against the shower cubicle on one side of the sink and the wall on the other, was claustrophobic.

Bathroom and room was clean and dustfree. But there were many stains and scratches on walls that really ought to come off if tried. So quite worn out room and furniture but definitly clean.
