'We did have some checking in issues - we didn’t receive a key box code and had to ring the host at midnight. We found it quite hard to reach the host in the days leading up to the booking.'

'Over all we had a great three night stay. Very friendly staff, good accommodation and location. Our only criticism was that when we ate in the restaurant one evening and had breakfasts the food wasn’t hot and the plates hadn’t been heated.'

'thank you'

'In deze moderne B&B in een zeer goed onderhouden kamer paar nachten geslapen Heerlijk avondmaal in restaurant gegeten, genoeg parkeerruimte tegenover de B&B. Ruime kamer voor 2, schone badkamer en lekker geslapen. Koud drinkwater konden we uit de koeler pakken Hadden eerst wat bezienswaardigheden gezocht, en daarna deze B&B gevonden die voor ons centraal lag en dat was prima bevallen.'

'My second stay in this hotel. Lovely atmosphere, great food, excellent service. I love going to this place!'

'Great stay, nice location'

'it was alright'

'Great welcome easy check in and friendly team 😁. We arrived late after a long drive - the venue is an old pub with rooms. We navigated our way to the top floor room. As we arrived Halloween weekend we thought the dust and cobwebs in the room were part of the theme. 👻 The carpet around the bed and doors hadn’t been hoovered for months. A layer of dust was on all the light fittings and cobwebs everywhere - bed and pillows weren’t great and we could hear the noise from the high street, boy...

'This hotel has great staff and plenty of options for food within walking distance My only moan is the rooms that are at the back facing the road get a lot more traffic noise than the front Especially loud motorbikes at 2am going past'

'Nice room, friendly staff'

'Everything was spotless! Nice quiet location '

'Clean rooms, great instructions to enter the parking lot, great hot breakfast, hopefull hosts'

'In the centre of Abergavenny, a great place to spend time in the town, or use as a base for exploring the area in a very special hotel'

'On the plus side the staff were friendly, the price good, the bed comfy and the parking free. On the negative side, everything looked a bit shabby, doors were dirty, the window in the bedroom didn’t close properly and when a heavy burst of rain occurred water was flowing into the bedroom. The plugs didn’t all work, the television was hung on a wonk, the light was broken and hanging off the wall. I was woken throughout the night with people banging doors and then at 6am was a fire alarm, I left...

'Nice building, character. We had a huge room in the eves, great. However, there is a need for some maintenance, stair carpet a big hole, some woodwork could do with a lick of paint, silicone refreshing. The spa, mmmm, clean those shower walls and repair some taps and such. It really needs to be uplofted in places.'
