'The bar maid was very argumentative. We told her we had a reservation to which she informed us that they do not take reservation for less than 6 people. When the professional gentleman returned he took us to our table which had our room number on it. Furthermore, she proceeded to serve a tall, good looking man who approached the bar way after we had been standing a waiting.'

'Inchecken ging heel snel'

'Prima voor 2 korte nachtjes, nette kamer en prima personeel. Echter tv + gratis wiFi is er niet. Niet heel belangrijk, maar wel vreemd dat dit aanwezig wordt vermeld.'

'Lovely staff and lovely rooms!'

'Midden in braintree. Zeer authentiek. '

'Recht toe, recht aan basic hotel. Goed genoeg voor 2 nachtjes ivm een bruiloft. Weinig tot geen faciliteiten alhoewel je wel gratis gebruik mag maken van de Gym naast het hotel. Restaurant niet gebruikt, wifi ontvangst goed en snel.'

'We stayed here last weekend to celebrate my mum’s 65th birthday and had such a lovely time. The hotel was beautiful, very clean and comfortable, and all the staff we met were friendly and welcoming. I had emailed beforehand to mention that we were visiting for my mum’s special birthday, so I was a little disappointed that there wasn’t a card or small acknowledgement in the room. We’d also booked a table in the restaurant for her birthday dinner, but unfortunately the booking hadn’t made it onto...

'Hotel is well located for the airport and the staff friendly and very helpful 😊👍'

'De kamer was heel netjes en schoon. Het ontbijt was goed en alle mensen in het hotel waren zo vriendelijk! Een heel fijn verblijf gehad!'

'A1 from top to bottom! Sean and family are absolute superstars! Cannot recommend highly enough!'

'No air-conditioning. (Just in case you need it.) A fan was supplied in the room and like the room could do with a good clean. Dresser glass top you could see the dust laying on top. Chair provided also had food remains, hair and dust from previous guests. Bed matress should have been retired many ,many guests ago. Springs digging in and undulating as lay. Bathroom was comparatively clean but also like the rest of the room very tired in appearance. Car park can be a little cramped, and can make...

'A warm welcome on arrival, lovely room with all facilities and a delicious cooked breakfast before we left. Would definitely book again and highly recommend to others '

'Het was een schone kamer en het personeel was vriendelijk. Lekker dichtbij de airport'

'Needs a refurbishment and airconditioning/ventilation. '

'The property is quaint/unusual. Not easily seen from the road if arriving in the dark. Provisions given in the room and the landing were excellent and fabulous location for Stansted airport. However, on opening the front door noted that the hall carpet was slightly worn and the room allocated had a shower in the room rather than the bathroom. Otherwise very comfortable stay and would book again, but request a room with a definite bathroom.'

'Overall the place was clean, but definitely needs some renovation. The television did nit work properly, the bathroom is outdated and the door didn’t close properly. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was also decent wifi but the choice of what to watch on the television waa quite limited with no satellite. Decent place for a short stay.'
