Lovely large 7 bedroom chalet with superb views, stylish wood burner and modern kitchen. Walking distance to slopes and on the bus route, on the sunny Mont Chery side of Les Gets. Perfect families and friends

A beautiful traditional chalet with a light & airy galleried lounge with a stylish wood burner.

Each floor has a balcony offering stunning views over the ski slopes and the village of Les Gets. Whether winter skiing/boarding or summer exploring and cycling, Chalet La Penote offers space and comfort.

The chalet has 7 lovely bedrooms which have a maximum capacity of 16 (14 adults and a children).
Perfect for groups of friends, families ( great for up to 4 families, 4 parent double rooms on top floor & 3 further bedrooms on the lower floor for the children sleeping up to 9 ) cycling groups and super for multi generational family gatherings .

A modern kitchen with 2 ovens, Induction 5 ring hob, wine fridge and open plan with breakfast bar to the dinning area.

A new stunning feature, wood burner adds a cosy clean feel as a central areas between the dinning and lounge. New locally sourced stone frontage to the chalet give the outside a local yet modern feel to a traditional chalet. Further renovation in 2022 with new large sofa, Lounge, dinning room windows including a bio folding door to the balcony to enjoy the great views.

Chalet La Penote is ideally situated on Mont Chery, the sunny side of Les Gets. Only a 3 minute walk to the nearest ski slope or jump on the ski bus which stops outside the chalet. Les Gets centre is a 5 minute drive, 15 minute walk downhill and a 20 minutes return! Ski over to Morzine and the huge ski area of Portes du Soleil with Avoriaz, Chatel and Switzerland. There are also many other ski areas within easy reach by car, including Samoen & Flaine. Les Gets is a very pretty Alpine town with a great selection of bars, restaurants and shops as well as a cinema (shows English speaking films) and bowling. In the summer you are in the heart of the most exciting and perfect road and mountain biking terrain. There is an 18 hole golf course just 5 minutes drive away and a 9 hole in Avoriaz (20 minutes away). Other activities nearby includes: para gliding, tennis, white water rafting, horse riding, canoeing, high ropes and swimming.

We offer the chalet as a smaller option outside high season weeks ‘Mini Penote' - please ask for detail of of lower prices for smaller groups.

Lovely house near Les Gets
We, a group of friends/ colleagues, had a wonderful stay in this chalet near Les Gets. We would recommend this house to anyone. The house is big and well stocked and the host and care taker are very friendly. The view is beautiful. It's a 10 min walk to Les Gets centre downhill and 15 min walk uphill. If there is enough snow you might me abble to ski to the apartment , but that was not the case for us (we were there in March). The bunk beds are a bit short, so only the smaller persons of our could sleep there, keep that in mind when booking.

A very mediocre chalet experience.
We were two multigenerational families travelling together and have all visited Les Gets and the wider Portes du Soleil many times previously. Positives: The boot room is excellent. Kitchen was fairly well equipped with dishes, raclette machine and plenty of plates, bowls etc. Negatives: we all felt the communication with host was not very warm or welcoming. The host charged an increased linen price instead of what was stated online at the time of booking which we felt was a bit cheeky given it is their responsibility to keep it updated. Similarly we got in touch with the in-resort contact provided in our documentation only to be told by him that he was not in resort this year so our impression of the admin side of things was poor. We felt that the house has very little living space for the amount of people it sleeps which may not be an issue if you are out a lot but it was not comfortable for us in the evenings and we were only a group of 12 not 16. There is no sound proofing. Rooms and decor are functional but basic and bathrooms dated. Basement loo door does not close or lock. No choice of bed set up in advance communication from host but they did kindly sort out additional bedding when there was not sufficient provided for the demographic of our party. The stair and main carpets had lots of dog hair embedded in them that we could not remove with the vacuum cleaner as it did not seem to suck up anything. More isolated from town than expected. Mediocre experience.

Die Lage des Hauses ist hervorragend, die Aussicht ist traumhaft. Leider hatten wir keine Schneelandschaft. Der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter war hervorragend. Gerne wieder!

Chalet spacieux avec très belle vue sur le village des Gets.
Grand chalet avec tout l'equipement electromenager nécessaire. Très belle vue sur le village des Gets, au calme, mais à seulement 10 mn à pied par la route et chemin de randonnée. Proprietaires très communiquants et réactifs, les procédures d'arrivée et depart sont parfaitement documentées.

un chalet parfaitement localisé et conçu et équipé pour recevoir une famille
bonjour, nous avons parfaitement trouvé ce chalet selon les informations fournies par Helen. Tout était en ordre et disposant des équipements nécessaires notamment dans la cuisine. la localisation est géniale : 'sur un chemin retiré mais proche du centre à pied et desservi par la navette E pour ceux seraient équipés de ski ou ne souhaitent pas marcher.. une vue lointaine vers le sud et la vallée. nous nous sommes attachés à respecter ce bien familial en le restituant en parfait état. toutes la famille : femme, gendre , fils, filles et petits enfants ont adoré d'autant plus que la station des Gets offre même en période plus délicate un beau domaine skiable.
