This partially destroyed medieval fortress near Les Andelys was built by Richard the Lionheart and now houses a museum about river navigation. For art lovers, Giverny (42 km) is a must. Visit there the house of Claude Monet with the beautiful garden that served as a great source of inspiration for this famous painter.
