The lobby and breakfast area are nice although small but in the room itself it looked like time had stood still for 30 years. The staff were friendly enough, but often appeared disengaged and lacking direction. Around the pool, there were rarely more than 10 guests at any one time, yet staff would frequently stand around rather than proactively offering drinks, checking on guests, or bringing pool towels. 'The hotel has a great location. Convenient for bars restaurants and mimi markets but just out of the centre meaning that it is quieter. The hotel is directly opposite a great sandy beach but it is a five minute walk downhill. Our room was clean and functional with good air conditioning when needed but involved several flights of stairs to get to it. Breakfast was good taken either outside or in a bright airy dining room. 'De accomodatie verzocht een mail ter bevestiging van aankomst. Echter daar werd nooit op gereageerd. Bij aankomst niemand te bereiken telefonisch dus wisten we niet welk appartement we moesten hebben. Gelukkig was er een schilder die ons hielp en belde de eigenaar. Dus..geen instructies voor aankomst of vertrek mbt sleutel. Achteraf bleek de sleutel in de deur te zitten en hebben we bij vertrek de sleutel maar binnen gelegd. 'Beautiful property, the suites are done to a high standard and are exceptionally clean. A lot of care is taken to mainting the property to a high standard. The staff at reception are very helpful and efficient. I will definitely be staying here again when I return to kefalonia.'
