Villa Yalenia -Elégante et unique propriété pied dans l'eau ponton privé piscine

Villa Yalenia est à mille lieux du cliché touristique 'maison à louer sur une ßle grecque'.
Domaine privé jusqu'à la mer. Ponton privé. Jardin luxuriant presque tropical, gazons éclatants, piscine paresseuse. Ici la mer est comme un lac, les bateaux au mouillage sont une invitation à de lents voyages, La mythique Scorpio, ßle d'Onassis, est au coin de la baie.
ElĂ©gant patrimoine d'une grande famille de Lefkas, la rĂ©novation s'est faite dans les grandes rĂšgles d'un professonalisme rigoureux, plans, choix des matĂ©riaux, travaux, dĂ©coration rĂ©alisĂ©s par les hĂ©ritiers eux mĂȘmes, architectes de mĂ©tier, et amoureux de leur maison.
Le jardin est un dĂ©dale de petits coins prĂ©cieux oĂč chacun peut s'isoler pour un livre ou un ouzo. Foison d'arbres, de fleurs, de fruits, des palmiers adultes pour la musique exotique du feuillage. Piscine paresseuse, mobilier extĂ©rieur chic et Ă©lĂ©gant.


Le ponton privé est un luxe rare. Le propriétaire vous arrangera en quelques minutes la location d'un petit bateau moteur sans permis. Le matin, vous traverserez la baie pour acheter les croissants et le poisson frais. A midi vous accosterez aux pontons des tavernes proches pour un apero mezedes (les tapas grecs). Plus tard, vous passerez la pointe de la baie pour vous approcher de Scorpio.
Vous pouvez oublier la voiture et vivre la villa comme se doit d'ĂȘtre vĂ©cue une maison de bord de l'eau.

Yalenia is a fantastic property and has everything you can think of. The pool and waterfront location are stunning and very private. Lilias was always ready to help with any questions we had and assisted with booking taxis and restaurants. Highly recommend Yalenia and we will certainly be back if we are in the area again

Wonderful week

We had a wonderful week at Villa Yalenia as two families with infants. The Villa, pool and garden were amazing and the addition of the boat really made the holiday.We had a few issues like the dishwasher not working on arrival but Lilias got this sorted asap. Lilias was really helpful with questions before arrival, sorting any issues and giving recommendations for dinners and activities.The staircase was not baby proof at all, no railings along the sides and a large gap below the railings on the landing that a child could fall through. Lilias sorted us a make shift baby gate that worked for us but if you have a child who could leave their bedroom on their own it wouldn’t be safe. All in all we had a wonderful week

What a fantastic place

This is a beautiful home with plenty of space in all the rooms. The main bedroom is amazing with a beautiful balcony, but each of the other bedrooms have lovely bathrooms and so everyone was happy with their allocated room. The gardens are really special. There are so many areas to sit, finding shade or sunshine and each terrace has something different to offer. The inclusion of the boat is perfect and the team at Trident Boat Hire are very helpful. If you have an ICC take it with you and you can pay to upgrade the boat hire to explore islands further afield. We did our shopping daily in the little supermarkets in Nidri and enjoyed eating out at many of the tavernas. Happy hour cocktails at Sol y Mar were very popular too. Lilias is a fabulous host, nothing too much bother. She very helpfully organized our taxi to and from the airport. Normally as a group we go on holiday to Barbados, but this property is so special we really hope to return here.

As described. Lovely villa with a boat. Easy comms with host who couldn’t be more accommodating. check in and check out was seamless. The villa is lovely on the inside with good bedding and amenities. It was nice to have a bed and sheet change mode week. The outdoor area is shaded by several mature trees and palms and I can see these being a godsend in August. The pool drifts over the view of the sea and boat dock. I would highly recommended. Only minor observation is the bbq has seen better days and the villa could do with a new one. .

A brilliant stay!

We've just come back from a sensational 2 weeks at Villa Yalenia. The most perfect villa in the most perfect location, set beautifully amongst the trees on Tranquil Bay. We were wonderfully looked after by the property manager Lilias, who couldnt do enough for us (a special mention for the wonderful welcoming hamper!) and who had been a reassuring source of information and help during an uncertain time of late! Couldnt fault it and cant wait to come back one day!

Best Vacation!

Our family spent two glorious weeks at Villa Yalenia. The first week with our children and the second with friends. Upon our arrival in the evening we were met by Niki the owner and Lilias the property manager. The welcome we received was exceptional- the refrigerator well stocked. The house is beautiful and very family friendly and the terraced gardens were a constant visual delight. The expansive outdoor seating and dining areas were wonderful in the evenings. The boat was incredibly fun. We had rented a car in Athens and drove 5.5 hours to Villa Yalenia and only moved the car three times in two weeks. We took the boat everywhere. We asked about getting a chef to cook one night each week to celebrate a birthday and the owner Niki was our chef! With the help of Lilias and her son Patrick we feasted on a spectacular seven course dinner. It was truly the best vacation we’ve ever had! Mary Martin

Beautiful villa in a fabulous location with everything you need

From the moment we arrived to be greeted warmly by the owner and Lilias, the manager, until we left we felt absolutely at home in this wonderful villa. And that’s the nub of it - it feels more like a home than “another” villa. Spacious rooms, great living areas and kitchen, amazing gardens with plenty of discrete places to sit and boat pier (and boat) meant the eight of us could properly relax. With four restaurants along the coast or Nidri across the bay, going out to eat was easy. And a lovely farewell by the owner was the icing on the cake.... Thank you!

Hidden gem

I had looked all over the Greek islands for a villa with a mooring in a sensible price bracket and chose this one. So glad I did. After an hours taxi ride from the airport we arrived tired and emotional (personal reasons for the emotional). Our welcome could not have been better; Lilias and Ioanna were there to greet us with a huge welcome pack of food (no need to go out the first evening if we did not want to). The rooms were perfect - modern, but not minimalist, with several quirky pieces. Three double bedrooms upstairs. All (I think) have kingsize beds (the master certainly did). One bedroom at the back downstairs. The garden was full and leafy with plenty of different places to sit, either in the shade or sun. There are only four places to lounge by the pool, but there are also loungers by the waters edge which is great for watching the boats go by. The pool was a bit too cold for me (the sea, in September, was warmer), although I wouldn't swim in the lagoon off the villa. We hired a RIB (power boat licence needed) from Trident Boats (recommend) which arrived our first evening and spent our days exploring Lefkada, Meganissi and even down to Ithaka. The snorkelling is not great to be honest but the boat gives a great sense of adventure and fun - perfect for a family with young adults. (NB - fuel expensive C. ÂŁ800.00 for 2 weeks) Mooring adjacent to the restaurants, finding a private cove or heading to the Reggae Bar on Meganissi was all part of the fun, before returning to our very private villa. So thank you to Ioanna Margeli for Villa Yalenia. We look forward to returning in the next year or so.

Beautiful and relaxing villa

We were three couples staying for a week and had a wonderful relaxing week. The villa has everything you need and is perfectly situated for accessing the local tavernas and the close by islands using a boat. This was our second visit to the villa and we hope we will be back!

This property is different to a lot of the ‘modern’ places on Lefkada. It has charm; a wonderful mature garden, nice pool and lawn on the waterfront. The main bedroom ‘suite’ spans the whole width of the house and has a great balcony. The booking agent, Lilias, and the owners (Nikki and Johanna) could not be more helpful. They made our stay memorable, including helping to arrange a birthday party!

A beautiful oasis to return to after a day on the water

We loved our week in Yalenia. The first thing that strikes you is the beauty of the garden which is extremely well looked after throughout the Summer and looks exactly (better) as it does in the photos. The garden is layered with a terrace at the top which provides lovely comfortable seating perfect for an early evening drink - looking out over the bay to the yachts and Nidri. The swimming pool has been beautifully designed and is also quite private from the bay. This is a family run villa and they quite rightly take a lot of pride in it. The owner showed us around the garden and then the house and went to a lot of trouble to make our stay a success. The house has a wonderful huge open sitting, dining and kitchen area downstairs with one bedroom / bathroom off it. Sofa very comfortable but we did not use it that much. We were greeted with a very generous welcome pack of food which provided for at least 2 meals and some of what we needed for breakfast. Upstairs, the main bedroom is fabulous - huge balcony from which you can sit and watch the bay, large bathroom. The other two doubles both with ensuites are large. We elected not to hire a car and provisioned the house by boat - hired from Trident Boats across the bay who were fantastic and highly recommended. Having a private jetty is a real treat. We spent every day on the water exploring coves, caves and finding cliff jumping spots for our teenagers. Dining either in Nidri, which although touristy does have the advantage of providing huge choice or one of the Tavernas in the quieter Geni at the end of the bay. All in all a fantastic holiday to remember,

The house itself is pure luxury and the gardens and pool were just gorgeous. We made good use of the boat with frequent trips out .We have stayed in Lefkas a few times before but nothing compares ! Garten Eden, Ein Traum wird zum realen Paradies

Auch wir waren als Senioren schon ĂŒberall im Urlaub, aber diese Villa mit ihrem Standort ĂŒbertrifft alles. - extrem freundlicher und fleißiger Service des Personals - sehr großes Arrangement des Management - Villa und Anwesen sind dem Garten Eden höchstwahrscheinlich ebenwĂŒrdig. - Alles auf dem Anwesen ist von außergewöhnlichen Experten geplant worden. Jede Pflanze, jede Sitzgruppe, jeder Stein hat etwas besonderes an ihrem Ort. - Selbst das Reinigungssystem des Pools ist mit seiner Überlaufkante sehr sehr gut. - Die automatische Berieslungsanlage des Nachts sorgt auch bei großer DĂŒrre stĂ€ndig fĂŒr ein deftiges GrĂŒn und schafft eine WohlfĂŒhlatmosphĂ€re. - Wir sind mit Sicherheit nicht das letzte mal in dieser Villa! Danke nochmals an den Service, aber besonders an die HauseigentĂŒmerin.

Beautifull villa in a great location

This villa is truly stunning! The house is really beautiful, the gardens are amazing and the location on the water with your own jetty and boat was unbeatable. Everyone was so helpfull and thoughtfull. Thanks to Lilias in particular who was great as she gave us advise and recommendations as well as sorting out transfers and booking tables etc - nothing was too much trouble. Nidri ( directly opposite) itself was not our favorite place but that did not matter as we could eat out in Geni just a few minutes away and in Vathi over on Meganisi which we loved.We also hired a bigger boat for 2 days to water ski and the boat hire guys were great too. Could not recommend higher and we will be back.

Fantastic villa in wonderful local

We are a family of six adults who enjoyed the most amazing week at the gorgeous Villa Yalenia. From the moment we arrived it was clear we were going to have a memorable holiday. Lilias and one of the owners, the delightful Ioanna, and the charming housekeeper were all there to greet us and show us around. The interior of the house is just pure luxury, the welcome pack was generous in quantity and quality, the whole place was spotlessly clean,very well equipped and beautifully maintained with a great sense of attention to detail. It had everything we needed and much more. Outside the stunningly pretty garden on different levels provided a variety of spaces for those who wanted sunbathing, shade, peace and quiet, barbequeing etc. the pool is clean, water warm and looks out onto the clear blue sea. All the garden furniture you could wish for is supplied. The boat moored at the villa's own jetty was an added bonus. We never used the front gate leading onto the road except for arrival and departure; we went everywhere in the boat, Nidri with all its shops, bars and tavernas is a mere 5 minutes across the bay, beautiful islands such as Meganissi 30 minutes away and a few excellent, fairly cheap tavernas a few minutes further up the creek. We had most of our snacky lunches in and went out in the evenings by boat. Lilias was most helpful, she also arranged a minibus transfer to and from Preveza airport. Several members of the family were there to say goodbye to us and each of us was presented with a little gift - absolutely charming and a wonderful gesture to round off the most blissful, memorable holiday in Lefkada.

Wonderful villa

We had a great week with our grown up children and partners. Spacious and well equiped with a stunning garden full of fruit trees and herbs, lovely pool and amazing views. Ioanna presents the villa beautifully and is so friendly and kind. Christina keeps it clean. Lilias was welcoming with lots of good information, got us some good meat for the barbecue and gave us advise on where to go and eat. The motorboat was a fun way to get around, to the shops, tavernas, and to small bays to swim. We also waterskied locally. We visited Meganisi, Vathi is a sweet little town. I hope we can visit again. Beautiful villa with private jetty

Stayed in this beautiful modern villa for a week in early May with our baby and friends with babies. We had a fantastic time. Very well equipped villa, lovely clean pool with plenty of outdoor seating areas. Sauna and bbq were brand new. The private jetty with boat access was excellent and we had great fun lunching in lots of local spots. Trip to Meganisi was about 20-30mins and had some lovely lunches on the beach. Magical!

I almost don't want to write a review because I don't want this home to become so popular that we have trouble renting it in the future. The photos are great and it's even better in person. Lilia was wonderful and attentive. I really can't say enough good things about this gorgeous home. There were 6 in our party and we all fell in love and would like to return next summer.

Paradise

We have fallen in love with Villa Yalenia. Our stay was like spending a week in paradise. A warm welcome by Lilias and Mary awaited us on arrival and they were on call should we have needed them. The house is beautiful and comfortable. Lovely Christina kept it immaculate for us. The garden, secluded with mature trees, wonderful scents from Jasmin, Gardenia, Rosemary, colourful Bougainvillea and butterflies fluttering around, was as in a dream. At night we sat in one of the many seating areas surrounded by candle light provided by the charming and helpful owners. Villa Yalenia with its calmness provides a haven of peace. If that wasn't enough we had lots of fun with the boat visiting little harbours nearby and popping across to Nidri for a glass of Champagne at De Blanck and a nice meal at the restaurant Kalamia No Menu. In case you wondered... we highly recommend Villa Yalenia!!

Fantastic week!

After our stay 2 years ago we again stayed in Villa Yalenia. The location is quit and relaxing, but with the provided boat it is fast and easy to reach the boulevard of Nydri. For us the location of the house at the waterfront and the included boat is a perfect combination. The warm welcome from the owners of the house and Lilias makes you feel very welcome. The charming villa with a big beautiful garden completes the story. With these ingredients it is hardly impossible not to enjoy your stay! We'll be back for sure. Michiel Beukers The Netherlands
