After making a booking I was sent the key instructions and guest manual. The property is a 5 storey appartment block yet the floor number was not provided in either of the above documents, so accessing the flat for the first time at the end of a long journey was unnecessarily difficult and stressful. Contacting Pass the Keys by phone and email to ask for advice was not helpful.
Toiletries were far from adequate for a 3 night stay.
The windows were single glazed and so the noise due to the city centre location kept me awake at night.
The sink and shower were both blocked.
There were no instructions for using the Smart TV / PS3 despite multiple controllers so I was not able to use them.
The hot water thermostat was set so low that showers were barely tolerable.
There were excessive restrictions on the use of the heating.
Hot water was also excessively restricted: although there was a button to manually heat the water this was hidden in a utility cupboard with no instructions given about finding or using it. I only discovered it on the last day.
