Lover's Cove is a lakefront cabin on Lake Lure with its own private dock. So, if you're a couple looking for a romantic getaway, where you can take a dip in the refreshing waters on a whim, or cruise on a float out to the end of the cove for an amazing evening sunset, or prepare a romantic dinner and eat by candlelight on the dock, this is the spot.

If you are a family of up to 3-4 looking for a relaxing spot to play in the lake, grill some fish you caught off the dock, roast s'mores over a smokeless fire pit, and play some evening boardgames on the screened in porch, this is the spot.

If you're a group of 2-4 friends looking for a place to create fun memories while floating in the lake with a tasty cocktail, or dressing up to go out for a fine dinner, or laughing and trading stories around a smokeless fire pit, this is the spot.

Lover’s Cove is centrally located on Lake Lure just minutes away from popular restaurants and the Ingles grocery store. It’s only a 15 minute drive to Chimney Rock, and you are only 45 minutes away from the eclectic City of Asheville and the world-famous Biltmore House.

ACCOMMODATIONS:
This 1950s lake front cabin can comfortably host up to four guests. There is a king size bedroom suite with its own full, private bath and lake views. Up to two additional guests can sleep on the queen size Pottery Barn Trundle Sleeper Sofa in the living room (also with lake views). And to help accommodate kids or additional guests, there is a second full bathroom to use.

The front door enters into an open kitchen and living room with rafter ceilings for a spacious view of the lake and mountains. The kitchen comes equipped with fridge/freezer, stove, oven, dishwasher, garbage disposal, microwave, Keurig, blender and most other general items you would expect to find. A two-seat granite bar top separates the kitchen from the living room. In the living room, lounge on the sofa and enjoy movie-night with a 50 inch smart TV loaded with Netflix, HBOmax and Youtube TV. You will also have access to high speed internet that extends down to the patio and dock.

There is also a washer and drier in the laundry area and central heat and air throughout the house.

Step through the back door and onto the screened-in porch where you’ll find another lounging sofa, a rocking chair and a four-top table. This is the perfect chill spot for morning coffee, afternoon naps, evening dinner and game night. If you’re in the mood for a cook-out, look for the gas grill on the deck beside the porch.

Just down from the deck, on your way to the lake, you’ll find a stone patio with a couple Adirondack chairs for taking in sunset, or unwind with an evening campfire and s’mores using the smokeless fire pit.

Before you head down to the lake, be sure to grab some fun floats from the basement. Note: Getting up and down from the lake requires walking a medium incline. This is a sloped lot, so the act of getting to and from the lake is not recommended for the elderly, young unattended children or anyone with health conditions. An adult in average condition should be able to to walk the path while carrying a cooler and a float.

When you’re standing on the dock, you’ll know for sure you’ve found a great spot on the lake. The views, the water, the cove. Take a leap into the refreshing water from the end of the dock or slide in with a float using the walk-in stairs. Feel free to float around the entire cove. You can catch a magical sunset with long range mountain views if you float out to the buoy at the mouth of the cove as the sun goes down.

Other things to note
Early Arrival: Arrive as-early-as 11am on check in day.

No Ice Maker: You will need to purchase Ice from grocery store.

Cleaning Fee: $125

NO SMOKING in the house. You can smoke in any outdoor areas, but no smoking in the house. If you do smoke in an outdoor area, be sure to safely discard your butts.

Bugs, Bees and Bears: You are at the lake, so there will be bugs. Mosquitos, ants, bees, stink bugs and such. The house is treated for bugs and bees quarterly. That does not mean they will all go away. There may be some carpenter bees hovering along the side of the house, but they will not bother you. At certain times of the year (summer) you will want to have bug spray on hand for mosquitos at dusk. There are also Black Bears that live around Lake Lure, so do not leave food or trash sitting outside overnight. We have not personally ever seen a bear on the property, but they do live in the area.
