The house was a fantastic spot for our girls weekend! We had a lovely time and Connie was very communicative. Unfortunately we were unable to use the pool due to water level issues. Connie did get a maintenance person to help, but the issue continued. We would love to come back and try again though!!

This house was great for our girls weekend! A lot of bunk beds, but we did our best to make it work. Some of our group are older women and it was not safe for them to adventure to a top metal bunk bed, but we were aware of that when we booked. Not a negative, just something to consider. The lake is very "mushy" and not really swim worthy, but a nice view! The indoor pool is AMAZING! The host is wonderful, very responsive and understanding. Tip: Ask for the FULL list of house rules prior to booking to ensure all the rules fit your group needs. Would stay again, but unfortunately the price has almost doubled since we booked last year. Would be perfect for families with kids!!!

The best stay!

We had the best experience! The host Connie was amazing. Her responsiveness was unbelievable prompt. The pool, and the game room kept the kids happy. Beach access and the view from the house is picturesque! We will definitely revisit!

Family Vacation

The first thing we saw was the cleanliness of the house. Our last rental was not very clean. The property owner was very attentive and took care of any questions or concerns we had immediately. The pool was great as was the beach and dock area.

Large lodge with indoor pool/spa - a bit hit with the kids

Property was well suited for our families - the split sleeping areas & TVs helped allow for quiet time. The deck and main living area were wonderful as were the fire pit on the beach. We enjoyed the ladder ball and corn hole as well.

Wonderful family time!

Multiple families stayed together and had a great time! The lake was beautiful, and everyone loved the pool and the many fun areas in the lake house! Dee was an awesome communicator throughout the booking and leading up to our trip. We will be back!

Large lakefront house

We had a wonderful time at this house! We were a group of adults, family and friends and one infant, celebrating a birthday. The rooms were all wonderful. The host even had a pack-n-play for the baby to use so we didnt have to bring one. The weekend was very cold, but the indoor pool and spa made the weekend a great time. There is so much space in the house for everyone to have their own area, but also come together for meals and game time. Thank you Dee and Chris for a wonderful stay!

Annual Family Weekend

Family weekend for us is our adult children, spouses and all our grandchildren together for a winter get-a-way. We had plenty of space for our large group, we had 16 guests. Filled my heart having room for us all at the dinning room table for meals and games. This property not only met all our expectations, but exceeded our expectations on all levels. This listing is an extremely accurate description of the property. The owner contacted me prior to our visit with all details of our stay and were available for questions. This is a clean, well maintained property which included more amenities than listed. Owner goes the extra mile with little things to make your stay enjoyable. Definitely 5 stars plus!!!

Our group had a great time at this house, it was absolutely perfect! Plenty of space for everyone and plenty of stuff to do. The pool was everyone’s favorite part. I’d definitely come back in the summer so we can enjoy the lake. I definitely recommend booking this property.

Beautiful Property, Great Owners, Awesome Getaway!

We booked this home for a fall getaway to celebrate my parents 50th anniversary. We had 12 people total with wide age ranges and everyone had a great time. The house sits right on Eight Point Lake with a beautiful view of the water. The house itself is a unique gem. With 5 bedrooms, 2 kitchens, a custom table that seats 18, two living rooms, an indoor pool and spa, multiple Roku TVs, two fire pit areas, and an expansive back deck area with awesome landscaping leading down to the dock and beachfront area there is plenty of space with ample things for people to do. Dee is a wonderful host and communicates very well. She responds quickly to questions and is very proactive in reaching out. She was kind enough to let me know they were having a minor problem with their pool. I was concerned because we booked this house with the indoor pool being a major deciding factor. We were traveling with 6 kids in October and the weather wasn’t looking great for our trip. Having the pool was a make or break part of this trip. Dee got their pool guy out prior to our arrival and had him come back and check in on things while we went out to eat one day. I’m sure fixing the pool on a weekend came at a significant expense, but Dee made sure to get it done and have it ready for us to enjoy the whole weekend. The town is very small, but there is a nice coffee shop and general store just a few minutes away. There is also a very nice greenway close by that made us wish we had our bikes.

Perfect family getaway!

We had 13 people amongst four households all coming together to celebrate a 50th anniversary and had the absolute best time! We ventured out once, but there was so much to do on site and Eight Point Lake is such a hidden gem! Very clean lake and the nicest people out on the lake! We had everything we needed to cook all of our meals and everything was stocked so well. We ended up with the best lake weather, so did lots of boating and lake play, but the indoor pool was so nice to have in the event the weather turned. We had ages ranging from 7-70 and all had the best time. There is so much space in the house that you can just daily have four separate families there and allow everyone to have their own space. The dining table is so large that we could all easily fit, which we all loved! Cannot recommend this place enough and we may be keeping an eye out for any getaway properties near there in the future! Dee was so kind and responsive and really thought of everything when it comes to superior accommodations!

Great for a big family get together!

We had a great weekend at the Black Bear Beach Lodge! Chris and Dee were very communicative and welcoming. The house itself is large and perfect for a big family gathering. The kids spent most of the time on the lower level playing a variety of games and swimming in the pool. We unfortunately didn't have warm enough weather to swim in the lake but we enjoyed the view from the deck, and even saw/heard loons one evening! The house was well stocked with towels, clean linens, plates, mugs, cooking utensils and pots/pans. We would definitely stay again! Thanks for a great weekend!

Long weekend getaway

This house was perfect for our group. The kitchen was well stocked and well equipped for cooking for a party of 10. The kids loved the indoor pool. The lake was perfect for our stand up paddle boards too. Over-all we had a great time and would return again.

Fun Escape
