The Baltic Sea resort of Laboe is known far beyond its northern German borders, after all people started swimming here 100 years ago.
Laboe is a place for seafarers, because the Baltic Sea resort is located directly on the Bay of Kiel, one of the busiest waterways in Europe. Container ships, ferries, sailors and frigates pass by every day. In the summer months you can also watch submarines and the proud crusaders when they set off on a long trip to the Baltic region or to the Norwegian fjords.
The beach of Laboe is about 2 km long, 50 m wide, white, soft fine sand and the riparian zones here are extremely flat. Only after about 30m the water becomes deeper than a meter and in some places you can wade almost 100m into the fjord towards the fairway.
There are several children's playgrounds on the beach. Not only the non-smoking beach directly in front of the sea water indoor pool, but also an action beach with a beach volleyball court, trampoline and electric scooters.
The promenade is lined with many restaurants, small shops and cafes. Fresh fish from the cutter is offered daily at the harbor and there are delicious, fresh fish rolls in the fish kitchen. The Baltic Sea resort of Laboe promises active vacation fun. Located directly on the Kiel Fjord, young and old will get their money's worth in Laboe. The fine sandy bathing beach and the wide sand banks in front of the beach are a very special event for children. You can swim in the shallow water and build castles with the white sand to your heart's content. And if it is a little colder, the seawater indoor pool provides a successful alternative.
A special highlight is the picturesque yacht and fishing port. Here you can buy freshly caught fish directly from the fishing boats, or take the steamer to the state capital of Kiel. Particularly worth seeing are the submarine U 995, the naval memorial and the marine biology station in the 42nd Nature experience space in Laboe.
With its wide range of games, sports and fun, Laboe offers unforgettable holidays for the whole family. Laboe is about 15 kilometers from Schönberg along the B502 towards Kiel. From a distance you can see the naval memorial, which you should definitely visit.

For your vacation in Laboe we offer you our comfortably and tastefully furnished apartments. We attach great importance to comfort and a neat ambience, the apartments all have a large balcony or terrace. All of our apartments have been awarded 3 stars. The house is in an excellent location above the beautiful spa gardens, just 300m from the beach promenade and the kilometer-long Baltic Sea beach of Laboes. The fine sandy beach with shallow water zones offers children an ideal swimming paradise. It is also only a few minutes' walk to the Labo port and the sea water indoor pool, which you can use freely every day. The wonderful view of the Kiel Fjord will inspire you on your vacation. You can safely store your bikes with us. An in-house parking lot for your car and a bike rental are available. We rent all year round!
