Loved the people at the Gators Inn😍
Our stay at the Gators Inn could not have been better! This great little mom and pop motel is beautifully newly updated and super clean. The hospitality was exceptional! We had a problem with our TV and three different people worked on it until it was right and ready for us to watch. There’s a beautiful little bar on site that has a pool table and a few casino machines. Pot of coffee brewing in the office each morning got the day started right. Perfect choice for our visit to the LaRose French food festival less than a mile away!

Please repair TV before offering room someone
Really good staff, very clean. When I travel and my day is over, I like to cool off, watch local news and hear World news like Fox or CNN News but from day 1, the TV didnt work. No one from staff, management, workers including me could fix it. It was a cable box service problem. I paid for Sat, Sun and was to leave Monday but I couldnt hear or see any news or programs. I ended up leaving Sun morning and paid for another motel near Kenner, LA. No one offered me another room, and when clerk asked me about my stay there I td her about the TV. But nothing.

You had to go through a very noisy bar to get to the office. No really clear signs as to how to enter the hotel. Bugs on the floor of the bathroom. Would not recommend this hotel.

The room is a basic room. It is clean and maintained. The people who greeted us and kept the rooms clean were all excellent and polite. They were the best! We would stay here again, no problem.

The area that Gator is in is recovering from Hurricane Ida. Considering what they’ve been through and that they’re open at all is a testament to their care of the property. The minor annoyances seemed trivial to their overall challenge so I didn’t bother them. I was happy to have a place to stay in the remote stretch of the bayou. The alternative was a very long drive and Gator’s was the most convenient location. I’m sure things will improve as the remodeling progresses.

My stay there was very pleasant. The bed was very comfortable and the blankets and pillows smelt so fresh and clean.

FEMA DISASTER RELIEF DELAYED
I booked two nights at Gators Inn via hotels.com and it was closed when I arrived and the hotelier was nowhere to be found. I had to drive 8 hours before I could find accommodations elsewhere. Such deceptive and/or incompetent business practices have NEVER happened to me before while on FEMA deployment. I went to NOLA to help and one of the locals SCREWED ME OVER.
